How to unlock the Take Your Time achievement in Mega Man X Legacy Collection - Definitive Guide

In order to unlock this, while fighting Morph Moth, don't attack - just dodge the projectiles and when it sucks up the trash, try and dash-jump over him in the opposite way it's going. Use a subtank if necessary. You'll notice the cocoon getting larger and larger gradually. Eventually, the boss will go into it's second form and the achievement will unlock. Just make sure not to damage the boss or you'll have to start over.

Morph Moth is a unique Maverick, as for the first half of the fight he is in a cocoon state. Halfway through the battle, he will transform into a moth.

What you have to do for this trophy is avoid all his attacks until he transforms of his own accord. DO NOT ATTACK HIM AT ALL. After a while, he will begin flashing and disappear into the ceiling and transform. At this point, the trophy will pop after a moment. You might want to bring a sub tank or two just to weather any damage you take. But this is all about patience.

This password will get you to Morph Moth with all other power ups.

In order for Morph Moth to transform from a larva into a full-fledged moth, it must not be attacked! It will gradually grow, then rise to the ceiling and become a moth. If you start attacking him, he will still become a moth when his health is low, but in this case the trophy will not drop. We have to wait and dodge.
