Zero has 8 moves that he learns and they are as listed:
#1 Raijingeki (Thunder God Attack) - Y while on the ground (obtain from Web Spider)
#2 Hyouretsuzan (Ice Stab) - down + Y while jumping (obtain from Frost Walrus)
#3 Ryuenjin (Dragon Flame Blade) - up + Y on ground (obtain from Magma Dragoon)
#4 Shippuuga (Hurricane Fang) - Y while dashing (obtain from Splash Beast)
#5 Hienkyaku (Flying Jump) - dash while jumping (obtained from Jet Stingray)
#6 Kuuenbu (Sky Waltz) - higher and farther jumps possible while attacking in air (obtained from Split Mushroom)
#7 Tenkuuha (Sky Command) - allows you to slice some energy shots, also you sword turns and stays purple when you learn this. (obtained from Storm Owl)
#8 Rakuhouha (Fallen Phoenix Crush) - Giga Attack button on ground (RT) (obtained from Cyber Peacock)
The last one I performed was Hurricane Fang as I must have not paid attention on how to do it when I received it.

Thunder God Attack is just Y on the ground, not down and Y.

After beating each of the 8 Mavericks, Zero will learn a new technique. Several of these techniques you will use automatically, but here they are anyway. Just make sure to use each move at least once by finding a nice secluded section of the final stages and using each move. Or just use them against the bosses in the boss gauntlet. Easy.
Each technique to use is:
- Frost Walrus – Hyouretsuzan,
+ 
when jumping - Jet Stingray - Hienkyaku, dash while jumping. The air dash, basically.
- Slash Beast – Shippuuga, dash then
- Web Spider – Raijingeki, on the ground.
- Split Mushroom - Kuuenbu, double jump plus
for a spinning attack. - Cyber Peacock – Rakuhouha,
to fire. - Storm Owl – Tenkuuha, stronger Z-Sabre.
- Magma Dragoon – Ryuenjin,
