How to unlock the Heavy Metal Thunder achievement in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames - Definitive Guide

Very Simple and you will get this over time.

If you see a tank run up close to the right side of the tank (* note is there is a turret gunner on top you must kill him first) it will then show, "Press (Y) to Hijack tank"

Press (Y), then Press the button sequence that comes up on screen (B) followed by tapping (A).

After the sequence you will have control of a tank - A successful Hijack

Now repeat another 9 times

tip* Tanks are awesome for storming a base so keep an eye out for them.

The button sequence is not always (B) followed by (A), so pay attention to what button appears on screen or you'll get knocked to the ground and have to start it over.

Helicopters also count, although you need a Grappling Hook before you can hijack them (which you get after unlocking Eva the mechanic)

Any armored vehicle (APC's & Tanks) or helicopter has a quicktime event (action hijack) to wrest control from its driver / pilot. Cars and trucks don't count as there is no quicktime event to hijack them.
