How to unlock the You Snooze, You Lose achievement in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - Definitive Guide

It is better to get the trophy the second time you play through the game.

During the battle with Grandfather, we release his parrot, which we need to catch earlier by shooting at it with a tranquilizer pistol. The parrot will fly to its grandfather, thus giving you his location. Then everything is simple, we run around this place. When you find yourself behind him, so that he cannot see you, but can hear you, put on the “Spirit” camouflage (you get it on your first playthrough when you meet Sorow in the afterlife), the camouflage makes it possible to approach silently. Come closer to your grandfather, point the gun at him, “Snake screams, freeze”, after which the grandfather lies down on the ground, point the gun higher, then lower, the grandfather begins to dance, shaking everything out of his pockets, the last one he shakes out is his camouflage, which gives 100% synchronization with the landscape in battle zone with grandfather. So the trophy is yours.

When End runs to a new place, traces remain on the ground, which are clearly visible through thermal goggles. This makes him easy to track.

All his spots are displayed on the map (if you run around with him a little and press Start -> map).

With a sound amplifier it is easy to calculate.

You can also wait a little and he will snore.

Also, if you notice sparkling from any bush, know that this is End.

There's no point in playing another playthrough for this trophy unless you missed something else. You can approach silently without any costumes. This is done with arrows, moving without the help , and with the help of the arrows, Snake does not make any sounds AT ALL.
