How to unlock the PEACE WALKER achievement in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - Definitive Guide

It's better to make the trophy on very easy.

WARNING: You cannot kill any enemies on a motorcycle, nor normal enemies, nor bosses.

Let's discuss some difficult points:

1. Operation virtue: there is nothing complicated here, just hide and stun the enemies (better without CQC, otherwise they may surrender).

2. Operation Snake eater: everything is as usual - stun enemies with a tranquilizer. Ocelot can be dealt with using firearms, since we don’t kill him, but I don’t recommend doing that. There shouldn't be any problems with Pain, but there should be with Fear. Here's my tactics against him: as soon as the fight begins, we immediately turn left, pick the mushrooms (they are poisonous), then we stun Fear with a tranquilizer, and then the funny thing is, he goes to eat and we throw our poisonous mushrooms on the ground and walk away, 100% guarantee that he will use them will be poisoned, and while he needs to vomit, we can calmly put him to sleep. 2 mushrooms are more than enough. You can also do this: use the death pill, wait for the boss to come running to you, turn around, and then get up, throw a Stan Grenade and take out a machine gun and kill the boss. You won't kill him, which is a little strange since you're using a lethal weapon, but his stamina will decrease, so you can confidently use this method. I also think there should be no problems with the End, use only a tranquilizer on him, but be sure to take his rifle after the end of the battle with him. Or you can use the secret with saves (set the time on the console offline to 2 weeks and load MGS 3). There shouldn’t be any problems with Fury either. When you get to the battle with Volgin, then use my tactics: first of the battle, go to the menu, put on the mask of Raikovich (the officer we shoved into the locker), Volgin will be confused, in the meantime we “put him to sleep” , he will start building a shield near him, we wait, he will run after us, we run away, when he gets tired (he won’t chase after us), we approach him and throw him to the ground, quickly take out the tranquilizer and put him to sleep. Sometimes he gets distracted by Ocelot, so you also approach him and throw him to the ground. In the second phase (2nd half of the battle), take stun grenades with you. First of this phase, lie down and throw these grenades towards him, preferably after he “releases” the bullets, and proceed as in the first phase, approach and throw. ATTENTION: you must take the suit that will fall out of it (from Volgin), you can’t do it without it. After the cutscene, immediately put on this suit and look, yes, yes, look at the enemies, because they will not shoot at the Soviet flag, and if you turn your back to them, and there is an American flag, then they will start shooting at you. Look at the enemies, and when necessary, put them to sleep (Eva will tell you when it is necessary, but I think you will understand). Now motorcyclists are chasing us, UNDER NO EVENT, don’t shoot them with a tranquilizer, don’t shoot anything at all, just watch, and so on until the battle with Shagohod and Volgin. Just destroy the walker with an RPG. When Volgin gets out of it and rides on it, then under no circumstances shoot at him with a machine gun or RPG, take a tranquilizer and fire 4 accurate shots at Volgin (you can also use the Mosin rifle, if, of course, you took it from the End, that is, The enda) . After the battle, some pilots will chase you through the air, don’t shoot at them in any way, just watch. And so on until the Doom Coast, or rather when Snake and Eva “arrive” at the appointed place. First, put Eve to sleep with powder, then drag her, towards the end of the location wake up the CQC, namely with a kick, in the second location just clear the way from enemies with a tranquilizer, simultaneously feeding Eve, do not put her to sleep here. Now it’s Boss’s turn, first of the battle, run to the edge of the location, take out the Mosin Rifle (NOT SVD) and shoot from it from afar, when she notices you, it’s useless to shoot at her, run towards her and be sure to hide the weapon (otherwise she can take it apart) and try to intercept to capture her, that is, madly press the zero or all the buttons, but in my opinion, the zero, but I hammered the zero and the square together. When she fell, use a tranquilizer. After the victory, rejoice, preferably kiss the joystick, since you almost did it. If you are tired of Ocelot, take any revolver and skip the cutscenes, save and wait for the rank table, if you have zero kills of enemies, then the trophy is yours, and if there is, then it’s a failure.

Killing animals does NOT affect statistics.

You CAN shoot motorcyclists with tranquilizers. And even necessary. You can also tranquilize soldiers on hoovers, or poison everyone with captured snakes. These actions do not count as murder. By the way, Eve can also kill soldiers. In any case, I checked it on very easy during the killing of the Kerotans - I put an entire company to sleep with an EZ Gun, they still gave me the Peace Walker trophy and after the credits the kill rate was zero.

In short, you just need to shoot everyone with the EZ Gun. And what will happen next to those who have fallen asleep is their problem. One “knocked out” person in my playthrough fell into a cliff due to the rocking of the bridge (at the very beginning of the game) - they still gave me the trophy. I knocked out pilots on flying mortars with an EZ Gun, and they exploded on a tree or the ground, I knocked out motorcycle drivers - it still did. Also, if you were killed and you clicked “continue”, there will still be no problems, and the trophy will still be given. The best place to check your progress is on The Sorrow. If there is no one there except the bosses, then everything is fine.

Also, if you kill someone in front of the river with Sorrow (even some regular guard), and then die in that location and choose to continue, and next time do without killing, then the guard will not be in the Sorrow river, but the kill is on you will be listed in the final statistics.

To defeat Volgin, approach him when he is not electrified and press the circle. Snake will throw him to the ground then shoot him with a tranquilizer.

I would like to add that if one of the enemies dies (for example, he fell into the water or onto an energized fence), be sure to load the last save. If you die yourself and click Continue, the enemy in the location will be alive, but the game will still count his death.
