It is not necessary to suffer and go through all 5 levels of non-continuums. On the last boss of level 4 (flying crap), we leave him a little HP (saving before this so as not to accidentally kill him) and drain all his lives. We press continuum and finish off the boss. As a result, at the final level you have 100 lives and you calmly pass it, receiving a trophy.
