How to unlock the Metro Trader achievement in Metro Redux - Definitive Guide

This achievement is quite simple, i'm just posting in case of someone wants to boost it to get this achievement quickly, just load polis and sell two of your weapons and then buy them back, and keep doing this until the achievement pops.

As far as my experience goes, you can't just buy ammo, medpacks, filters or grenades. You have to actually make a purchase from someone who sells guns and their attachments. You can find these vendors in any level that also has an ammo vendor, like "Market" or "Polis".

I unlocked my achievement on "Polis". Right in the first room you walk into after getting out of the rail car, there will be two vendors, one that sells ammo and health, the other that sells weapons and attachments. Go to the one that sells weapons and attachments, he'll be sitting in the corner next to the door you later walk through to continue the level. Pick to customize a weapon, and highlight any attachment, the cheaper the better. Now, spam your A button until either you run out of Military Grade Rounds (MGR's) or you get the achievement. If you run out of MGR's to spend, just load up the checkpoint and repeat the same process. If you feel you don't have many MGR's (less than 300 or so) I suggest you just sell everything you can to the other vendor to make a little more so you don't have to reload the checkpoint as many times.

Works good. Not sure why there is a negative vote for this.

It would help immensely if all these achievements started with a "2033" or "Last Light" label.

An easy way to get this is to load up the Polis chapter in the Chapter Select menu. Once there, go to the weapon dealer, choose customize --> scopes on one of your weapons. Then switch back and forth between the two cheapest scopes. Load Checkpoint and repeat until the Achievement pops. Should knock out the achievement in a matter of minutes with minimal reloads.

Easily gained when you get to the first weapon vendor, when you have to get your gear from the armory, you'll hit a checkpoint. Now go and buy a scope for the magnum and sell it right back, then reload checkpoint, the tracker should go up about 7% each time.

This is a trophy that will probably not come naturally over the course of the game, however it is still easily obtained. It's best to wait until you arrive in Polis, by which time you should have plenty of MGRs saved up. Just keep buying weapons, selling them back, if you run out of MGRs then reload checkpoint and repeat until you get the trophy!

This achievement may not come naturally over the course of either playthrough, but don't worry, it's not missable. All that is required is to make at least thirty "deals" at any of the weapon shops between the levels “Exhibition” and “Polis,” as after that there are no more vendors. Take note that purchasing ammunition or equipment (grenades, medkits, filters, or throwing knives) does not count for this achievement. You will have to buy weapons instead.

A great way to grind this out is to wait until you get to "Polis." By this time, you should have around 600+ military-grade rounds. Head over to the weapons vendor, buy the Bigun, and then sell it back. Continue to repeat this method until you've either run out of military-grade rounds or the achievement unlocks. If you do run out of currency, just reload the checkpoint and keep repeating the method since progress will save after every purchase/sell regardless!

You can install and remove the cheapest part (for example laser target) 30 times and the trophy is yours.
