Collect all 20 Bucky Balls

How to unlock the Fullerene achievement in Microbot - Definitive Guide

I used these two Youtube videos to help me snag the last few Buckyballs. All credit and thanks needs to go to Throrin and E5gAr0th!

There are a couple of things to bear in mind. First of all, the maps frequently rotate between playthroughs- meaning that you'll have to orientate yourself properly with the videos.

More importantly, THE BUCKYBALL WILL NOT SAVE UNLESS YOU COMPLETE THE LEVEL OR USE AN UPGRADE STATION! It turns out that the last ball I needed was actually one I picked up and immediately quit afterwards. Don't make the same mistake!

Also if you get a ball and then die you don't have to re-collect it, all that will be in it place is a full-restore life atom

Man that is not easy to follow... I'm going to see if I can delete my save file because it's been years and wow you'll have no idea if you already have it.

You could beat the level first without entering the exit, and then backtrack to find the Bucky Balls. One important thing though, you cannot check which one you have got. So, please track it yourself.

Bucky Ball locations
1-1 last area before the exit
1-2 last area before the exit
1-3 last area before the exit (3 switches)
1-4 after the boss fight on the right side of the room

2-1 last area before the exit (in the small maze)
2-2 follow the first blue arrow on the map
2-3 right before the exit
2-4 small area to the right

3-1 room before last area (there is an "ambush")
3-2 last area before the exit (destroy the red "bubbles")
3-3 last area before the exit (shoot at a switch to open the gate)
3-4 after the boss fight the upper wall opens

4-1 last area before the exit (shoot the switch near the four yellow balls)
4-2 small puzzle before the exit (shoot the lowest one and then use hydro-nuke on the remaining two)
4-3 last area before the exit (shoot the four switches and then the bubble in the center)
4-4 after the boss fight shoot at the switch right before the exit to open a gate on the right side of the boss room

5-1 follow the first blue arrow on the map
5-2 follow the first blue arrow on the map (shot at the switch until the Bucky Ball comes out)
5-3 at the bottom of the first area
5-4 you have to wait until the boss is coming after you - grab the Bucky Ball before you kill him

In each part of the worlds, there are 20 of them in total, one buckyball is hidden, including in the final parts of the worlds with bosses. Just carefully search parts of the worlds, especially in the directions marked with a blue arrow (this is how a secondary optional path is marked) and you will definitely find them, they are not hidden very well. Sometimes to get them you need to solve a small puzzle. In the location with the final boss of the game, a buckyball will appear inside the boss in the final stage of the battle, when an eye flies out of it and you will have to finish it off, if you do not take it before defeating the boss, the game will end and you will have to take down the boss one more time.
