Concierge Service

Concierge Service

Provide the best Hotel Service on the most expensive property without a player going bankrupt

How to unlock the Concierge Service achievement in Monopoly Streets - Definitive Guide

So for this achievement you are going to need to own both "Park Place" and "Boardwalk" that way you can build hotels on either of the properties.

Conversely you can play a game with custom rules that allow you to build houses on any properties you own instead of having to own all of the properties in the color group.

Once you have acquired "Boardwalk" (and "park place" depending on your rule set) you will need to build a hotel. Once the hotel is built you will need a player to land on the "Boardwalk" square AND have enough money to pay the full rent ($2,000).

Some ways to increase the chances of this happening are to not build anything on Park Place. Rent there is $1,500 and will surely bankrupt players too quickly if they accidentally land on this square. Also I would recommend having the speed die (red) turned on. One of the spots on the die is a picture of a bus which allows you to either pick the number on a single die and use that or, combine them together as normal. Increase the amount of available cash by upping the modifiers (pass go, free parking, starting cash) to ensure that no one goes bankrupt before you reach this point in time.

It's the classic Mayfair and park lane, like cougarslayer says they are on all boards, just under different names one costs 350 the other is 400. Hope this helps.

another way to help ensure that the other player has the money is to mortgage out every single property except boardwalk itself

It would be on every board. Boardwalk and Park Place are the last two dark blue properties on the board before you pass GO. On some of the other boards such as the cheese board it may have a different name im not sure but if your having trouble just play the classic board.

I got this achievement while going for the achievement for building all of the hotels. Using 3 controllers.

Anytime someone land on a property that is not bought, auction it off and buy it for $1 with your profile. Just keep playing until you have Park Place and Boardwalk. Now just build house and hotels on Park Place, and Boardwalk, but no where else.

The tought thing is having somebody land on Boardwalk and have 2,000 to pay the rent. The landing on it is random luck, if they don't have enough money, that can eaisly be fixed.

If someone lands on Boardwalk and you have the hotel on it, and they do not have enough cash to pay, start trading. Simply trade one of your properties to another player for $1, now buy your property back for $2000, if that person has enough cash to do so, if not do the same trading process with the OTHER(3rd controller) player. Use that money to trade once again with the person who landed on Boardwalk so they have enough to pay rent.

As soon as the person pays the rent and end their turn, the achievement unlocks.

So while going through the walkthrough for this game, I began doing the suggested method for "Flee Market", "Market Inflater", etc.

This method involves starting a game up on the game mode bull market with a secondary controller. Try and get the higher roll so you go first. Then with your first controller you bid on all properties for $10, then lower your bid to $0 allowing you to get the property for free.

Once all properties have been purchased, you get to then start your turn. As soon as you get to the post-roll menu after your first turn, you need to mortgage all properties you own, except the dark blue colours (Park Place & Boardwalk). As soon as you're done that, put a hotel on Boardwalk. After that, all that is left is rolling the dice.

What makes this method super easy is the fact that all you need to do is roll the dice and wait for the second controller to land on the property. Since all of your other properties are mortgaged, the only thing that you need to worry about is Chance and Community Chest. Both players will start with $2500 which is more than enough necessary for the achievement.

I didn't look up a guide I just figured it was a good idea. I got this on my very first attempt doing this method, I didn't even go around the board once. I imagine I got lucky, but I would argue that this is the best guide to get this achievement.

Good luck, and post in the comments on how I can improve on the guide in any way and what worked for you if my way didn't.

Like many achievements in this game, it's all about how the dice fall. Another way to do this is in Jackpot mode. You can build houses without having a full set of properties.

If you're trying not to bankrupt anyone else, try being conservative in building elsewhere, to balance what the other players may be building against you. Also, without bankrupting yourself, beware of the infamous "Chance and Community Chest" cards which assess fees per house and hotel.

One other thing to keep in mind is that there is a "Chance" card that will advance a token to Boardwalk.

Easiest way to do this is to start a 2-player custom rules game with all the properties being given out at the beginning of the game, the starting cash amounts at $2500 a person and the speed dice turned on. After the games begins, trade player 2 all your properties except Boardwalk (have him trade it to you if you don't have it), than have player 2 mortgage all his properties so that you won't have to pay anything if you land on them. Build a hotel on Boardwalk and then continue to play the game until player 2 lands on Boardwalk (either by landing on it by a roll, getting Mr. Monopoly on the speed die, or by being sent there by a Chance card). Once he lands there and pays the rent, the trophy will pop after their next roll!

Note: The name might be different for those without the US version. This is the last property on the board.

The translation is simply unrealistically crooked. I got the achievement absolutely by accident while playing with a group of 4 joysticks. In general, I had the most expensive property, which is also the last one in the circle, the essence is that the opponent must get to the last property you have fully built up and pay you the full amount WITHOUT going bankrupt
