This can be achieved on Easy, Medium or Hard with easy being the simplest.
There are 8 team races in the game, team races are exactly the same as circuit races only there you choose a team mate monster truck before the race and you race for 3 laps, you get points each lap for the position you cross the line in, first place goes to the team with the most points.
The first team race event is unlocked at level 7

First team race i found was in Minneapolis at level 5.

Try it on easy if you are having trouble getting first place. You get 10 points for every lap lead in these events and 8 points for second. So even if your teammate is in 3rd or 4th - don't worry about going back to help him, just focus on getting the bonus points for leading all the laps. Winning the race after leading all the laps will earn you gold regardless of where your teammate finishes.
