How to unlock the CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG? achievement in Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection - Definitive Guide

This is easiest done in local multiplayer with a second controller. In Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 play as Cyrax. It is crucial that you do not press right trigger (block) while in the fight because for some reason the friendship will not work if you do.

If you use no punches, you can do the friendship in the second round. If you use punches, you can only do the friendship in the third round.

Once you get to the end at the "Finish Him" screen press LB, LB, LB, Up. In case you are wondering what LB does, or you have changed your controls, LB is the run button on the default settings.

You also can't use any punches to perform friendships and babalities. You should note that in your solution.

You musn't press block as this is a requirement to perform 'friendship'. It was like that back in day and it's the same in this edition of Mortal Kombat.

This is incorrect. You cannot use punches in the deciding round on MK2 but you can use block. This includes any special moves that require tapping a punch button. In UMK3 you can use punches but cannot use the block button in the deciding round. My guess is they changed it for UMK3 because they wanted players to be able to use all the special moves freely and still finish their opponent with a friendship or babality if they please

start up a match with 2 controllers. Controller 1 is Scorpion controller 2 whoever. Now for entire match only USE ONLY( Y or B). When the "Finish Him" comes up hit (back, back, down,Y) this can be done anywhere. I found this method much easier then others posted after trying others for up to 10matches and only need once with this method. Hope this helps. please leave thumbs up if did and if not please leave comment on how I can improve this solution.

I believe I did this on MK2.

I think you want to say "I can improve" instead of "I can approve". By the way, nice solution. Thumbs up!

This is trickier than it seems. First, you can only perform a Friendship in MK2 or UMK3. Second, to perform either a Babality or a Friendship you have to win both rounds using only kicks (Y +B) then at the "Finish him" screen you can perform the button combination I used Kitana's in MK2 (Down, Down, Down, Up + B) you can stand anywhere and Ding the achievement is yours.

That's what I thought at first but I tried hitting a punch button in the fight and it wouldn't let me do the friendship.

I may be mistaken, but I seem to recall that you're not allowed to use block in your final winning round (be it the 2nd or 3rd) for the friendship to work.

I think that the "kicks only" thing was in the stage before the 'question mark' in MK2 in order to fight Jade.

I got it with Reptile on MK2. Once again, use only kicks (Y or B) during the whole match. When it's time to "Finish Him", from anywhere on the screen, press Back, Back, Down, Low Kick (B). This is as easy as Friendships get. :-)

Just to clear things up because there is some confusion. If you are doing the Friendship or Babality in MK2, you cannot use punches in the deciding round. If you are doing the Friendship or Babality in UMK3, you cannot use Block in the deciding round. And just to be more specific, by deciding round i mean the round that wins the match for you. If you have default settings then a match last until someone wins 2 rounds. So in this case you would be able to use block in UMK3 or punches in MK2 in the first round that you win. In the 2nd round you cannot. If you win the 1st round and accidentily use punches(MK2) or block(UMK3) in the 2nd round, just lose the round on purpose to go to a 3rd round. Special moves that require you to tap a punch button also cannot be used in MK2. Probably why they changed it to block in MK3 so people could use all their special moves and do a Friendship or Babality at the end.

Friendships can only be preformed in MK2 and UMK3

to preform a Friendship in MK 2 you must not use any of the Punch buttons (Default cn_S or cn_X) in the winning round of the fight.

To preform one in UMK3 you must not use the Block button in the winning round.

You can check the move combination for your character in the movelist section of the pause menu.

This trophy can only be gotten in Mortal Kombat II or Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. You must follow the requirements below in order to perform a Friendship.

Mortal Kombat II: You cannot use either punches during the winning round.
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3: You cannot block during the winning round.

If the requirements are met, it will allow you to perform a Friendship. When the announcer says Finish Him/Her, input the Friendship button combination.
