How to unlock the ELDER GOD achievement in Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection - Definitive Guide

Do this after you've nabbed all the other achievements as they'll count towards the 200.

The quickest way:

Two controllers. Select UMK3. Pick the first characters that are selected. On the 'Kombat Kode' screen you want 044440.

That is to say on controller 1 press RT and B four times and on controller 2 press RT and A four times. Do this simulateously. It's a bit fiddly at first but it makes the next match one hit kill (and just one round too!). Speeds things up A LOT.

The achievement will pop right away when you get the 200th win.

Note: this can also be done in single player and online matches (but will take a bit longer).

After you pick your fighter and controller 2's fighter, there is a loading screen. At the bottom of that screen are six boxes. That represents the code.

Is there any way to see how many you've done if you play online? I set up a friendly match lobby while doing homework and play when someone comes in. I win quite a few, but I have no idea how close I am to getting the achievement.

240 wins and no achievement (210 8-person tourney, 15 in 1v1 umk3, 5 in MK and MK2 vs comp, 10 umk3 vs comp). That is in a single session, I've gotten many more wins than that beforehand. Wasted Sunday afternoon.

Just to add to this already good solution - if you do a mercy (LB, D D D, release LB) at the "finish him" screen and then beat your opponent again, that counts as two wins. Speeds it up even more.

Truth is Ive won tons of matches before getting this achievement today. I sat down with a second controller and used this method, I did 200 in a row and got it exactly on 200 of this count. Thank you for your solution!

I counted and got achievement at 180. I had a few wins from before, seems accurate. This took 45 minutes. Now I just need to beat the 3 games. I can't be bothered with that at the moment.

update - got mine to pop after 111 wins in a row on the sans-power method in 2-player versus (UMK3 - used the counter). Adding in the wins I had before, I am guessing the 8-player tourneys did NOT count.

Fun note - after 100 in a row, the game changes to Galaga. after 200, Pong

2019 update for everyone - the 8 player tourney does NOT count (however I cannot confirm if it works if you do it all in one setting). Honestly after you get a rhythm down with entering the kodes with two controllers, this will take no longer than an hour to complete from scratch. Less if this is one of your last achievements to get.

I can also confirm that it DOES NOT have to be in one sitting. I started the game yesterday and played it quite a bit. I got this achievement today. Two separate days of combined wins.

Oct 8, 2021. The 200 wins needed for this acheivement is a cumulative total. You do not need to play 200 matches in a row. I played for the first time in nearly 4 years it popped for me in 2021.

its seven wins in under 4 minutes plus anyone from the "rewards" screen (ermac etc)

You may want to add a count if anyone is curious: 200 matches total = 42 single player matches (mk1, mk2, novice ladder mk3), + 1 Ranked win, + 157 of these boosted wins using the 044440 method. So basically they'll have to do this 157 times after getting all the other achievements.

Thanks for the strategy!

I can also confirm that the 2 player method DOES take into account any wins you have amassed in other game modes. This was the last achievement I got, I started up the 2 player mode and was ready for the long haul. I got it at 106 wins, meaning that all of my other wins, online and arcade modes were counted towards the total. I did not have to get 200 wins in one sitting.

Well it's about time. I was at around 270 or so by my count, aboout half using the 04444440 method, and half matches against the CPU. This included beating MK1 & MK3 each once.

Today I sat down, beat MK2, got the ach for beating it, but not for beating all 3. So I redid MK1. Still no ach. So I redid MK3. Got the ach for beating all 3 games, but no Elder God.

So I plugged in my 2nd controller & went back to the 04444440 method. Did 99 matches, still hadn't popped so I then did 2 quick ones against the CPU before losing. Then popped in my 2nd controller again, and did another 60 or so wins using the 044444440 method before it finally popped.

So literally I did 200 wins in a single session without quitting to the dash.

F#R$#@$ing glitchy game. Anywho, thumbs up to the tip.

The 200 wins needed for this achievement are accumulative across all three MK titles. It does not matter which MK title you are playing or if the win comes from a VS CPU, VS Offline Human, or VS Online Human match -- they all count toward the 200 win total.

Can easily be boosted with a 2nd controller. If you don't have a 2nd controller, just play through the Arcade Ladder multiple times or hop online.

If you are going to do this with a second controller I recommend MK2 It tracks how many wins you get in a row and displays the amount above your health bar so you know exactly how many you have done

To unlock this achievement, you have to win 200 matches. This officially means that any and all matches you win will count towards the achievement, whether it be in single player mode against the AI, against a human opponent in a local setting or against a human opponet on Xbox Live.

The way I unlocked it is to meet the neccesary conditions to unlock the other 11 achievements and then went to UMK3 and do single player on the Novice Ladder. From there, i pick Sonya, whose Leg Grab move is spammable up to a certain point and keep on playing until I lose a match. From there, i let the continue timer (and whatever timer there is to unlock the three hidden characters) run out and then start again.

An intermediate player can get around 2-3 wins in a row on the novice ladder before the AI goes Ape**** on them. Keep doing it until the achievement unlocks itself.

I agree with Reborn. Not only that, but I don't consider myself an intermediate player but 2-3 wins in a row on the novice ladder isn't hard by any means. I think I got 6 in a row when I was going for the UMK3 arcade win achievement. :o

Either way, detailed solution. Positive. :D

This is known to be the longest achievement in the game. You must win a total of 200 Matches. Rounds do not count as the wins. You personally have to defeat the opponent and let the announcer say "Finish Him/Her" in order for it to fully count.

As PeaceSquid said in his solution, there is a Cheat you can use that allows you to K.O an opponent in just a couple hits. But you will need a 2nd controller in order to do this method as A.I opponents will just smack you quickly.

The unfortunate thing about the Cheat is you will have to enter it each time you start a new match against your 2nd controller.

You need to choose "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3" and then get to the "Character Selection" screen with one of the controllers. Press cn_start on the 2nd controller to activate it and then choose your characters. Now when you see a picture of the characters and Battle 1, you should see 6 boxes at the bottom of the screen. This is where you need to enter the Cheat to activate it. And yes... you have to enter it in every new match you do, otherwise you will have to complete 2 full rounds against your 2nd controller instead of one. Let me remind you as well that you only have a few seconds to enter the codes for both controllers and if you fail to enter it, the cheat will not be active in the round your playing.

So the cheat you want to enter in this menu is 044440. That means you must ignore the First Box & The Last Box (keep them with the Mortal Kombat Logo Picture) and change the remaining boxes to a picture of a ? on each of them. This is the 4th code in the game.
Player 1 has access to change the first three codes on the left side of the screen. Player 2 has access to change the last three codes on the right side of the screen. As a team the 2 controllers must work together to enable the cheat to work. By default the buttons Player 1 needs to press are cn_RT x4 & cn_B x4. Player 2 needs to press cn_RT x4 & cn_A x4. As you can tell if you are the lonesome person using 2 controllers this can be confusing. But I can help you out with that in a moment. Keep reading.

If you've successfully entered the code correctly before the match loads, then you should be given a message at the bottom of the screen. You and your opponent will have 1 Round won each as well as your energy at the bare minimum. Now just attack your 2nd controller once and the announcer will say "Finish Him/Her". Do a 2nd strike and you will win the match. Match completed in just a short moment. One down many more to go.
Press cn_start on the 2nd Controller on the Kontinue Screen and then return to the Character Selection Screen. Rinse and repeat everything above for each lobby before the match begins.
With this method you can get around 2 - 5 matches done in 1 Minute. Judging by this, if done correctly it is possible to get this achievement done within 1 Hour or possibly less. If your doing this in one sitting, the game will keep track of how many Battles you have done, so you can use that for recording. Other than that it's pure guessing as the game does not have a Stat screen showing you how many wins you've got. The achievement will pop on the top left side of the screen after you have won your final match needed to get it.

Tip For Entering Code

Because you only need to do a couple hits to win a match against your 2nd controller and you have to enter the code in each match you do, I personally found the best method is to change your Controls in the Options Menu to make it easier for yourself when entering the codes.

Whilst your in the game press cn_start and choose Options. In this menu press Controls and then press cn_start on the opposite controller that's not on the screen at the same time. Now the buttons you will want to change by Default is cn_RT & cn_B for Player 1. And cn_RT & cn_A for Player 2. Here's what I suggest...

Player 1 - Change cn_RT = cn_A
Player 1 - Change cn_B = cn_X

Player 2 - Change cn_RT = cn_A
Player 2 - Change cn_A = cn_X (This might have changed already because you've assigned cn_A to the cn_RT selection, but make sure you change it for yourself anyway)

Accept these changes and then return to the game. Now next time you enter the cheat, instead of shoving your fingers to the back to press cn_RT quickly on the 2 controllers, you can now go at ease and just press cn_A & cn_X on both controllers to enter the code and activate the cheat for each match you do.
When it comes to fighting against your opponent since your controls are different, just use the cn_Y button. That move hasn't been taken and you can use this to defeat your opponent in a couple hits.

I would suggest above all to save this achievement until last. You will likely have around 20+ wins towards this achievement after you have obtained the other remaining achievements in the game.

Good Luck!

Any combination of 200 wins will get this . Any mode, single player, ranked or not and across all three games. Just have fun and it'll come.

Win 200 matches against the CPU, against a player or online. The wins are cumulative over all three games. The easiest way is to get a second controller and win the matches as quickly as possible. To do so, at the VS screen on Player 2's controller press seven times and seven times quickly. This will change the forth and sixth Mortal Kombat icons at the bottom of the screen to Raiden. This will give Player 2 only 25% health and each round should only take a second or two.

Thanks to The Stray & Tigerz_bone_21 for mentioning the Sans Power code.
At the VS screen on Player 1's controller press four times and four times while on Player 2's controller press four times and four times. If done correctly, this will change the second thru fifth Mortal Kombat icons at the bottom of the screen to a question mark.
This starts the match on the final round with each fighter low on health. One hit and victory is yours.

If you don't have a second controller or wish to do this online, I suggest you find a boosting partner by going to the Trophy Boosting Thread.

Win 200 Mortal Kombat matches (not rounds) in ANY of the three games either offline OR online. All wins are stacked so you could get the following and it would still pop:

Example:
40 Mortal Kombat Arcade Mode wins
30 Mortal Kombat Ranked Online wins
30 Mortal Kombat II Arcade Mode wins
40 Mortal Kombat II Friendly Kombat Online wins
30 Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Quick Match Online wins
30 Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Arcade Mode wins

Can be done with a 2nd controller and inputting Kombat Kode 044-440 (exactly the same as Mortal Kombat 2011 kode) before the fight. Player 1 presses + 4 times, Player 2 presses + 4 times)

There is no record of your wins so you need to keep track manually.
