How to unlock the You've Got Style! achievement in Mortal Kombat - Definitive Guide

One way of getting all the alternates costumes is playing the arcade latter or buying them in the Krypt. Once you beat the ladder, you will unlock an item/key that unlocks the characters alternate costume in the Nekropolis. If you play tag ladder you will ONLY unlock the 1st chosen character alternate costume but you will unlock both endings.
*Note: Cyber Sub-Zero does NOT have an alternate costume.
You do NOT need Mileena's 3rd Costume (Flesh Pit)

UrlJudge's statement on tag battles not counting is wrong. Tag battle outfits DO unlock as of the latest patch release/Komplete edition.

Now, if you have complete edition, this is very important, do NOT go to Nekropolis until you are sure you have unlocked every character's alternate outfit (Mileena's 3rd doesn't count).

Basically, there is a bug in Komplete edition where if you unlock all your outfits from the ladder, the achievement will not unlock. Here's the fix (or if you want to do this first to save you the hassel of tag battles).

On the start of a new game (back up your old save to a USB if you have already gotten this far and bugged a bit).

Play around until you get 10,000 gold. Then, go find the secret chests (Plenty of youtube videos online to show you where they are). Now, go buy all the costumes from the Krypt with the 30,000 gold you'll have by the time you pop the 4 chests.

Next step, go to Nekropolis and do not leave until you have examined EVERY character available (ignore DLC guys and Cyber Sub Zero), if you go from left to right, when Quan Chi's alt costume announcement appears your achievement should unlock.

At this time, you can resume play as normal (or if you had to back up your original save because of the achievement glitching, you can reload it back from the USB now and resume your playthrough).

Why am i getting 30k gold coins if im just going to the Nekropolis and viewing all the characters?

Sorry, im just a bit confused. I blame my upside down Aussie brain :P

30k gold to buy all the costumes from the Krypt and then to get the achievement to unlock you need the "costume unlock" notice from each character, which you can only get viewing them in the krypt.

This is an easy one. There are 26 costumes to buy in the Krypt. you need exactly 28,980 koins to buy all of them (Cyber Sub-Zero is the only one without an alternate costume). You DO NOT NEED Mileena's 3rd Alternate Costume to gain this trophy.

Alternate costumes can be found in the Krypt or by completing Arcade Ladder with that character.
To view and unlock the alternate costume, go to the Nekropolis in Extras and select the character. A message will come up saying alternate costume unlocked. This must be done with all 26/27 characters (Cyber Sub-Zero does not have an alternate costume).

There are 26 costumes to buy in the Krypt PLUS Kratos' alternate costume which is unlocked by beating arcade ladder with Kratos (thanks Liad-88 for the tip), and you need exactly 28,980 koins to buy all of them (Cyber Sub-Zero is the only one without an alternate costume). Note that you DO NOT NEED Mileena's 3rd Alternate Costume to gain this trophy (Thanks to Wickedtheif1 for the tip). You need to unlock them in Nekropolis (note that it is NOT necessary to wear them). This  trophy will unlock when you have obtained the alternate costumes  for  the main 28 characters only (excluding Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain and  Freddy  Krueger.) The costumes can be unlocked by beating the Arcade Ladder or by unlocking the coffin in the Krypt that has it. You can then visit  the  Necropolis to unlock the character's relic. The costume for Kratos  can only be unlocked by defeating the Arcade Ladder and not through the  Krypt, so keep that in mind.

If you only need to unlock the costumes, the specific coffins are listed below.

Not complete information is provided, to get this trophy, you need to defeat Shao Kahn with Kratos in arcade mode, watch the video and activate Kratos’ alternative costume in Necropolis, then everything will count
