How to unlock the Art of War achievement in Mount & Blade: Warband - Definitive Guide

This achievement can be obtained right at the start of the game during character creation, simply follow these steps when asked to provide a bit of backstory about your character.

Now in the skills screen, add 4 points to Intelligence to make 15 then level up Training and Persuasion to level 5. For another 2 achievements you can press X to reset, then level up Pathfinding, Spotting and Surgery to level 5. If done correctly you should have seen the following 3 achievements pop up:

Don’t know why someone would downvote this solution other than the fact that you didn’t go to their house, sign into their account, and personally unlock it for them. Excellent guide! I’ll take four achievements in three minutes any day.

For These "Get The Following Skills To X" Achievements:
- Get Them To Rank 4.
- You Can Get A Point In Intelligence To Get 2 Skill Points Per Level.

After Skills Are Rank 4:
Use The 2 Skill Points You Have To Bump Some Stuff Up To Rank 5. But Do Not Hit Done!
- The Achievements Unlock As Soon As You Put The Point In, Not When You Confirm.
- You Can Refund Them And Afterwards Put Them Into Other Skills, To Start Working On The Achievement For Them.

This Makes Getting All The Skill Achievements Vastly Easier. However You Will Still Need To Be Around Level 30-35 To Get Enough Stats To Be Able To Buy Them All.
- Skills Can Only Increase By 1/3rd Of The Amount Of Your Main Stat.
- This Means You Need 15 Charisma To Be Able To Get Leadership To 5. (Unless You Find A Book That Ups It)

Hope This Helps! I Know Level 35 Seems Like A Grind, And It Is.*
But, By The Time You Are Close To Conquering The Map, You Should Be Pretty Close!

Good Luck!

Side Note*
I Will Mention This For Those Of You That Are Extremely Lazy, But Again If You Want 100% This Game, This Is Pointless - As You Will Be High Enough Level Towards The End Of A Campaign Anyways:

Steam User "Slavic Raven" Wrote A Guide -
States That You Can Export Your Hero To A Text Document, And Just Change All The Stats, Then Import Them Back For The Achievements.

This System Was Designed So You Could Start A Campaign With Your Previous Hero.

- I Can Not Confirm That This Works. I Know Using Cheats Disables Achievements, So I'd Make A Backup Save File First If You Want To Try This. Not Sure How The Game Feels About Editing The Document. SlavicRaven Says it Does Work.

You can buy a book for +1 of your skills and carry it in your inventory, thereby leveling it up to level 4 and not up to 5. Save experience points.
