How to unlock the Gambit achievement in Mount & Blade: Warband - Definitive Guide

From the main menu, choose to setup a custom battle. Choose Gamara as your character, make enemies army composition 100% archers and yours down to 0% archers, set the map as Haima Castle on Siege Defense, Army Size at max and choose outlaws as the enemy faction (they have no shields).

Walk up to the left front tower and begin throwing spears into the large amount of enemies. With this setup, it took me about 4-5 spears to get a standard shot with a difficulty of 5.1
Things that will affect the difficulty of the shot are range and placement, so if you manage to get a headshot you should achieve the desired difficulty. Restart if your spears run out.

---German---

Falls dir Speere ausgehen, starte neu.

You can also do this while playing naturally.

Don't really need a lot of points in Power Throw. I had two javelins on me and just randomly tossed them into the enemy's bulk of forces when they were walking towards my army. Vaguely try to aim, sooner or later you'll hit someone.

You don't need to be superfar away.

Apparently, you need your shot difficulty score on to get this. I tried to get it multiple times but to no avail. Turned it back on out of a hunch and it popped first try

I actually got lucky by just throwing knives randomly at a group and it happened to pop. However, steam user WolfauraRose posted a much better and more efficient way of doing this. She/He posted to "Do a custom battle with 100% archers 200 army both sides and use the sarranid girl with jarids. Approach the enemy army and from being far away as in just seeing the enemy, throw the jarrid into the 200 mass army and you'll get a 5 difficulty shot. Distance is the key.". This way is certainly more eloquent than mine. And may net the achievement quicker.

I just equipped a javelin to one of my weapon slots and while fighting in the field I'd charge the enemy on horseback and start hurling javelins at them before switching back to my main. If you aim it high enough and get the timing right you can peg someone from far enough away. You'll have an easier time getting this the less cavalry both sides have and more troops the enemies have overall. I also found the desert was a great place for this tactic as it tends to be a flat battlefield with no mountains or hills.
