How to unlock the Happily Ever After achievement in Mount & Blade: Warband - Definitive Guide

This one is fairly straightforward, and can be worked on while doing other things, this guide will only work with Male characters, marriage works different if you play as a female.

Find a town (the ones with a marketplace and arena), then go to the arena and ask if there is any tournaments going on in other towns, if there is ride to one, and if there is a feast on, take part and win the tournament.

Once you have won it, go to the lords hall, should say (join the feast) next to it. Once there, find any of the female Ladys, and then ask about their family, or check in the notes section. If they are unmarried, dedicate your recent success in the tourney to them, and that should give you a good Opinion boost. Then also declare yourself their admirer, hopefully they take it well (Ive not seen it go bad so long as you have a decent friendship with them).

After this they will call you back every once in a while to wherever there brother/father has as a fief and asks to meet. Go and itll give you a small opinion boost. If you learn poems in taverns this can help too, as you can recite a poem to them each meeting. Once their opinion of you is about 20 you can ask to marry them.

They will accept, and ask you to get their fathers permission, or brother. If they have a good enough opinion of you, ask them, and they will ask you to put some Denars towards a dowery, pay that and get married OR depending on the female, ask to elope, this requires a higher opinion, and doesn't work with all of them. You do however get another achievement for it as well.

Hopefully this helps!

With great difficulty really! You are right in that there are limited options. You just need to have a fairly decent rep with them. I believe positive 30 and they agree if single. Though of the top of my head. Im not 100%
