Some characters are just better at this than others but it's really about skill and opportunity.
Tabi is good for KOs. Just special dash to the downed enemy and spam that explosive trap he can use. It'll take care of them and also keep away anyone trying to revive. His ranged is also powerful.
Plus his special is to create an explosion when he's downed which can actually down an enemy if you're lucky and at the very least buy you a few extra seconds.
