This is cumulative. Basically every time you jump, it will add to your total. You will get this very early on. I actually got this while continuously playing the first race working on my Competitor trophy.

The trophy is cumulative. Get it very soon, because... In the game you will spend the 14th part of the time in the air. The developers have made our life even easier by including a counter for time spent in the air in the game.
