How to unlock the Grand Theft achievement in NBA 2K11 - Definitive Guide

Very simple just play any quick game and go into your settings and change the game sliders on steals to full, you could also put the reaching foul frequency down to 0 to prevent fouls. with this done it wont matter who you attempt the steal with.

i did it without changing the sliders in association mode as lakers against suns and got 13 steals. then again I also play on rookie difficulty but the suns are really good. most of them were from intercepting passes.

To attain this achievement, you must get at least 10 steals in a game. I would just set the sliders to stealing at 100 and reach-in fouls to 0.

To attain this achievement, you must allow the opposing team to be beating you by at least 10 points by the fourth quarter. I would simply edit the sliders to your favor and downgrade the opposing team's sliders EXCEPT for shot success. Allow the opposing team to score a little but then come back in the fourth easily dominating with the sliders in your favor. Contrary to belief, you can keep the quarters and and difficulty at the default settings. You do not have to play longer.

To make this simple, and to make attaining other achievements for this game easier, I recommend taking the time to edit the sliders to your favor beforehand.

When you load the game and enter the menu, look for the tab that states "Options." Once there, find the tab that says "My NBA Settings." Next, simply go to the tab that states "Game Sliders," and put the attributes to your favor as well as downgrading the computer's stat.

When you have finished, just back out and go to a quick game, in which case the game will automatically save the sliders for future games. To disable or reset the sliders to how they originally were after you have attained your achievements, just go back to the sliders and it will give you the ability to customize it to default sliders.

To get this achievement, you can just play a quick game with either a computer or two controller method. But note that if you are playing against a computer, you cannot switch teams or sign in a controller or the stats will be disable. Same as the two controller method; once the game starts, you cannot switch teams or sign out a controller when already playing with a friend.

*Note* You do not have to finish the game to get the achievement. You just need to get the necessary requirements during the game. Once you get the stats you need, the achievement will pop up.

You can change the difficulty to Rookie but it isn't actually necessary when the sliders are in your favor. If you are going for other achievements, I recommend changing the time limit of the quarters to as long as you need seeing as to how you do no have to finish the game more many of the achievements.

Finally, it is slightly annoying when the player you are using magically gets substituted. In the begging of the game I highly recommend going to the menu, then "Coaching," then "Coach Settings," and putting the following to MANUAL: Timeout, Substitution, Late Game Fouling.

This is a cumulative team trophy for one game. To steal the ball use when you are near the ball handler. You will want to turn down your opponent's ball handling and turn up your stealing ability in options. Do this 10 times and the trophy is yours.

This must be done in a game with at least 5 minute quarters. Sliders can be adjusted and difficulty altered. Can be done with two controllers and rules adjusted (shot clock off). This will not unlock in My Player mode.

Can be done alongside either Dub-Dub or Trip-Dub. Simply adjust the steal slider to 100 and keep attempting to steal the ball.
