I can confirm that this unlocks 100%. I played the first two matches with 5 min quarters until I read this solution and played the last 3 with 1 min quarters and it unlocked straight after the last win. So if it doesn't unlock for you, don't complain at the author of this solution as he's got it bang on!

Do You Have To Play All 5 Games In One Day?
Or Can I Play 2 Today Matches From The 26th Then Come Back Tomorrow and Play The Remaining 3 On The 27th??

Not sure, but I would recommend playing all 5 games in one day (using the method i recommended if you want) since the match-ups change each day and it may not count.

I don't know what glitch you are all using but I followed this guide to the letter, and I played each NBA today game TWICE and you still are unable to acquire the achievement way to glitch it guys!

This solution worked just fine Aoi Tomoe, they didn't glitch it, what a stupid comment to make, you probably just didn't follow directions probably, everyone else is unlocking it just fine and no, there's no point in glitching it. I voted positive solution and you should change your vote Aoi back from negative back to positive.

@MindTrixXx4Real & @Alf133 Unless someone else confirms it beforehand, my brother Otouto72 will be doing one NBA Today match-up a day to see if it unlocks that way - but it is by far quicker doing all 5 in the one sitting. Enjoy the high ratio while it lasts XD

Nobody here glitched this achievement, Aoi Tomoe. If you didn't unlock it even following the correct steps, try another day.

Finally got the NBA Today matchups to show up after starting the game over and over again (or here in Austria the game just legs behind ;) ) Now I've got ALL achievements in NBA 2k12 but "The Whole Shebang" does not unlock for me! Anyone with the same problem?

I won all 5 of the NBA Today games on December 27th, 2011. The achievement worked just like it said in the guide. I actually didn't use this guide at all I just used common sense and set it to rookie with 1 minute quarters. I just am on here to tell you all that it does work and thanks to MindTrixXx4Real for posting this solution.

I can confirm this can be done on different days. Played 2 matchups last week, picked up the game today, 3 more, and it popped. Thanks for the helpful guide.

Well I played 5 different nba today matches and never got the achievement. I only used the 1 minute quarters so I will use 5 minute quarters this time and hopefully I get it.

I can confirm this solution works. I did it today with 1 minute quarters, on rookie, with sliders adjusted. There were only 3 games so i played them and then did 2 more with opposite teams than I used the first time. Achievement popped at the end of the 5th game.

Played 7 games today and got nothing. I am wondering if it has anything to do w/ shot clock being turned off...

Any ideas? Anyone that did not get this achv, do you have that setting turned off as well?

I can also confirm that you can play it on seperate days or even years. I played two days on Christmas and three yesterday and got the achievement.

Can anyone confirm that this has worked late in the Playoffs? (May 18, 2012 +)

Okay I can haha. I actually played the Miami vs. Pacers (Eastern Conference Semi-Final) 5x. The same game over and over and it unlocked after 5 no problem.

I figured it out. It was not allowing me to select the game. In the process of trying to solve the problem, I booted my son's account and found that it thought it was two days ago when there were two games to choose from. Interestingly, I was able to select them with ease. So, I booted his account, switched mine out, played 5 1-minute-quarter games of LAL at OKC (game 5, which OKC had won two days ago), and popped the achievement.

It is possible that the NBA Today game does not function if it is there is only one game available. If so, the deadline for popping this achievement is even closer than the last game of the Finals.

Yeah I can't scroll down either. I think I'm screwed. I just have quick game and Boston Philly to choose from.

I went in to the game last night and had the date come up as May 27 (not May 29). I then decided I'd do what you did and log in as my son - in doing so I refused to set up a 2K account and was taken to the main home page here the date was May 24.

Now I don't know if these date changes are utterly random or not, but I'm going to keep trying this tonight to see if I can come up with the date May 21 (the last day where 2 games were played). I didn't alter my console's date and was online all the time ... so this also seems to be another silly glitch.

Nobody has won this achievement for two weeks. I'm pretty sure its now UNOBTAINABLE.
I have tried playing the quick game (which is all you get) everyday this week, but because its the same 4 teams in the playoffs I think I'm only getting credit for two games. And when the final happens next week that will be one more, for a total of 3 'different' games.

^ The quick game option is not NBA today. You're actually not getting credit for any games. There was always a glitch where NBA today was inaccessible if there was only one game being played on a given day.

But to the point, barring an update in the next few days (doubtful) this achievement is indeed unobtainable.

I even changed the date on my xbox to the regular season and there were nba today games. The achievement didn't pop after playing five games with 1 min quarters though. I'm gonna try it with 5 min quarters and see.

Can confirm, this worked today, June 17, 2012 -- 2K posted the same game twice, so you may actually choose it as a "Today's Game," rather than the default "Quick Game," when there's only one game listed.

Yesss!! Thanks for the heads up DaBill or I might not have gotten it! Just a side note, when I first loaded my game it was not available and only showed Miami vs Dallas (The default if you don't have a favorite team selected.) I had to follow the advice from other posts I've read and deleted my NBA Today, Online, and Home files from my Hard Drive. I then restarted, waited through all of the intro, waited for all settings to load, and then it said NBA Today failed. But when the home screen loaded it was there and working!

@ Mr. Tavaghoee you didn't need to delete the online file and you didn't have to wait through the intro.

I deleted just the home and nba today and it gave me an updated one.

Anyway got the achievement. Thank you DBC.

It does work (for a limited time I guess). I used a clean slate, no files in the nba folder. Didn't clear the cache. Played 5 1 minute games with easy sliders ( yeah I suck at this without help).
Important thing to note nba update failed for it to work. First time I tried. Nba today update worked and I didn't get a choice, I entered nba online, then went back to main menu, nba today failed, and I had the choice of two games.

picked it up late last night.. I'd imagine this will be moving to unobtainable soon.

this is no longer obtainable..unless they do it again next season (which i highly doubt)

Still works today 6/24/12 just followed MuddyAmeoba's idea and it worked using the 2nd game.

I believe that you do have to be connected to xbox live -- each day's games update from the 2K servers.

i dont know if you guys noticed but theres someone who got it Yesterday at 00:34 date is 10/31/2012 ... the achievement doesnt have a date stamp :( on xbox.com well from what i saw.

i'd like to know where you monitored this. yeah i was hoping that with the new season that this would be possible but seems to have screwed me.

Played another 6 games with the shot clock on. Still no achv. One thing I did notice on the first game, the NBA today matches were "a day behind"

But either way, I played 5 current ones.

I am having trouble with this. Perhaps I do not know how to start an NBA Today game. When I go to the Quick Game menu, I have what looks like two bars in the middle, one for Quick Game and another below it for Boston vs. Philly. Do I have to get it to somehow select the bottom bar? How would I do that? The Help Menu tells me I can use LS or the D pad to select game modes, but up/down does nothing. Any clue what I am doing wrong?

any updates on this?

Do you have to be connected to Xbox live? Would changing the date back to say Christmas get this to unlock?
