NBA 2K12

Excellent guide by Yellow Screams, but I wanted to expand on it a little. Here's a little trick you can do to make it alot easier as well. Before you create a CAL, you want to adjust the rosters on your NBA2K12, minimizing all the players attributes. It took me about a week to do this, but I'll share my roster (HAPPY HOLIDAYS):

go download my roster "min attributes roster" Every player on every team is minimized completely, height reduced to 5'3", abilities changed to poor (dribbling, shooting, etc.) and on shot tendency minimized all shots to "0" except for 3pt shots, I made it a 99 (this will make all players basically shoot nothing but 3s, and their attribute for that is minimized). You'll see 3 maxed out players on the Jazz, I traded those to the Bobcats. Now, I started a CAL using Tyreke Evans on the Bobcats. Easy Easy!

Adding this for a easy way to get Shooting Star. This is how I did it:

1. Choose anyone of your liking (I picked Dwight Howard because he can score and get rebounds, better for the MVP.) Go into the menus and into the rosters to update all his stats to 99.

2. Take out anyone over a 80 on your roster. I went as far as taking out every single center over 70 just to be sure.

3. Put your player on a team that doesn't have a'lot of rivals. I did Charlotte, as their only rival is the hornets but keep in mind you also have key games against other star players at your position, so that would mean you have to play a few more games, nothing major tho. Maybe the raptors could work? Idk.

4. Go to the rotations menu, and put your players minutes to 48. Just so he plays about every minute.

5. Start your CAL, put the simulation time to 12 mins and the other one to 5 mins, meaning you will play only 5 mins. Simulate, playing only key games, and there should be no competition, and you should get your achievement. When i did mine i ended up having to actually play about 8 or 9 key games.

6. Also if you do not want to play the key games just start it up normally and once your in the game hit the back button to intentionally foul out( takes 6 times to foul out)

The easiest way I found to do it is to just choose Lebron since he'd have a pretty good shot at winning it anyways. Then use whatever skill points you have to increase his free throw shooting attribute and then increase whatever you want after that. After his free throw is at a 99 he will easily average 40+ points a game so just play the key games and you should easily get the achievement
