How to unlock the Hardcore achievement in NCAA Basketball 10 - Definitive Guide

The most important things to remember is to turn coach fire off and change the dynasty to 30 years. Pick a team and let it rip. Takes about 10 minutes per season, so this can be finished in about 5 hours

does this have to be with one team as i have been fired multilple times but i think they just mean a dynasty by coaching career?

I can confirm that you can still get the achievement no matter how many times you get fired. My coach was fired about 20 times and I still got it after the 30th season. Turning off coach firing will save you the step of finding a new job, but isn't necessary.

First you want to go from the main menu to MY NCAA> MY NCAA BASKETBALL10 PROFILE> MY NCAA BASKETBALL 10 PROFILE MANAGEMENT then change auto save to off. Then head back to the main menu.

From the main menu go to MY NCAA> CREATION ZONE> EDIT PLAYER, and then pick a team such as Long Beach State out of the Big West and edit 5-6 players on the team so they become an overall 99. When choosing the 5-6 players, make sure they are either freshman or sophomores. You do not have to save your current squads, instead exit player creation and go to the main menu and from the main menus go to GAME MODES> DYNASTY MODE> NEW DYNASTY MODE.

In the new dynasty mode, go ahead and create a name for your coach. Then hit and now you are on the coaching option page. Select NO for coaching contracts, job offers, and coach firings. Also for starting team, make sure it is any team so you can select Long Beach State from the Big West conference.

Once you have selected your school, you are taken to Dynasty options page.

Dynasty Length: 30 years
Sim Injuries: No
Injury Frequency: Low
Underclassmen can go Pro: No
Player Transfers: No

Then select start and begin your new Dynasty. In your first year MAKE SURE YOU WIN ALL HOME GAMES to unlock "Perfect at Home" and you win at least 30 games. When the season is over and you are taken to the off-season mode the "Perfect at Home" will pop up. Then for Year 2make sure you win at least 30 games and do that again in Year 3. After year 3 during the off-season mode the "Move Over, Duke!" will pop up. Now comes the tedious part and that is just to sim the remaining 27 years of your dynasty to unlock "Hardcore" It doesn't matter if you win any games in the last 27 years of your dynasty as now all you need to do is complete all 30 years of the dynasty.
