Play with a strong team against a weaker team, and adjust the sliders if you need help. This can also be earned on any difficulty, so feel free to put it on the easiest settings.
I found that it was easier to pick up a big gain through the air using the set-up plays. (These are linked with chain graphics in the play calling screen). Run a bunch of rushing plays to set up a play-action pass, and once the chain links turn green, you've got a better chance of the defense biting on the play and leaving a man open for a big gain.
This cannot be earned in Road to Glory mode.

Call a pass play that has one or two deep routes. When you see that receiver, or one of them, that is open enough tap the button assigned to that receiver to throw it to them. As long as you're on your side of midfield, you'll get this. You don't have to score a TD to get this trophy.
