How to unlock the What Competition? achievement in NCAA Football 10 - Definitive Guide

This is much easier than the other solutions make it out to be.

Firstly, start off by going to "Xbox Live", then "EA Locker", then "Download Roster", and grab the roster by Stophj. This roster has all players on FIU (a sun belt team) maxed at 99.

Load the roster under "My NCAA 10", then go to "Career Modes" -> "Dynasty" -> "New Dynasty". On the team select screen, hit Y for Custom Conferences. Pick Vanderbilt, and swap them with FIU. Pick FIU as your team, and hit start to be prompted to save your dynasty. Sim everything to the start of the season and then save.

Then resort to the "sim a game, save if you win" routine. You'll likely have no problems going undefeated. Once you get to the end of the season and get invited to the SEC Championship game play it out (you have to play it, though you can super-sim the game). The achievement will unlock at the end of the game (assuming you win).

Thanks to mctennisd on x360a for the tips on this.

Worked like a charm. Even somehow had Florida in my non-conference schedule and still went undefeated.

Great solution - this roster made it really easy to earn the leaderboard Achievements in Road to Glory as well by picking the existing 99-rated QB as the player of choice. Also made "Crash the Party" a slam dunk.

@Kaiser679, this achievement is for winning the SEC championship, not the national championship

Picked FIU, went undefeated, NO CHAMPIONSHIP GAME INVITATION. Instead, I get sent to the Rose Bowl.... so clearly you (and the other people posting solutions for this achievement) are missing something in what you're telling us.

I have an even easier way to do this achievement. ok do what the first guy says and play with troy and switch out florida. heres where it changes. you can also go ahead and switch out all the other sec teams with 1 star prestige schools. then by simming you should win most of the games on the first try. you might have to sim a couple away games more than once but nowhere as much as you would trying to beat a real sec team. once you make it to the sec championship game, you have to actually play it, but once you win it the achieve will pop up after a bit.

Click create a new dynasty then press Y and go to the sun belt division using LT. I used troy because they are the best in the sun belt. And switch troy with any team in the sec division.I recommend flordia which is really a no brainer.

When you are in your dyansty with troy in the SEC set the quarters to 1 minute. I recommend to play every game because if you dont you will be simming alot saving ALOT.

After and before every week save your dynasty and profile. So incase you loose you will be right at the beginning of the week. Also will you need to go undefeated with troy. GOOD LUCK

This is going to take a few seasons of playing before you even get a chance. You'll want to start out as one of the teams in the Sun Belt Conference. Florida Atlantic and Troy are two of the best in that conference. You'll have to dominate the conference for a few years straight before you get an invite into the SEC. By dominate, I mean winning the conference each season and having an excellent record (12-0, 11-1, 10-2, something like that). Once you're in the SEC all you have to do is beat all the teams on your schedule from one of the best conferences in the country.

Tip from skibum529:
You could add a team to the SEC by pressing 'triangle' and switching out the teams. for ex. switching LSU for North Texas or any other sun belt school.
