How to unlock the Greatness achievement in NCAA Football 11 - Definitive Guide

I started with the highest rated RE from the current players, Von Miller if you have the rosters, he plays for the Texas A&M Aggies I believe. Turn off offsides in the house rules and every time you play a game just stand next to the QB and sack him every play. You should get the achievement within 3 games.

It took me either 4 or 5 games, but this method definitely works like a charm.

FYI, if you continue the season, you should win the Heisman, too. I simulated half my games, used this method the other half, and easily won the Heisman, had almost all the first place votes. Thanks!

Edit: If you want the achievement super fast, use RG BzN's guide. However, if you want to actually play the mode, here's how the achievement works.

In Road to Glory mode, go to Stats & Records>Leaderboards>Offline Leaderboards>NCAA. Here you will see the Legend Rank score that you need to beat for your position.

As a QB, I needed to beat a Legend Rank score of 2100. My achievement unlocked at the end of the ACC Conference Championship game in season 2 when my Legend Rank score reached 2135.

If you play as QB, the best way to attain the achievement is to always audible to a pass play. Throw the ball deep as much as possible. Score as many TD's and get as many wins as you can. End of the year awards and bowl wins help increase your score also. You should easily hit the mark necessary by the end of the second season, if not early in the third season.

This achievement unlocks as soon as you gain enough awards, special plays, passing/rushing yards, TDs, whatever it is that your particular player is being measured on. Therefore, as you progress, this should unlock if you're doing well on the field. End-of-year trophies add a lot of points to your score.

To see the particular score you need to beat, go to Stats & Records, Leaderboards, Offline Leaderboards, NCAA. You just have to make it onto the leaderboard, so just beat the lowest score on there.

If you're having trouble with getting a high enough score, you can change the settings. This will disable you from making the online leaderboards, but if you can still get the achievements since those are related to the offline leaderboards.

Go to Road to Glory Setup, House Rules, and click on Modify Settings. Set the difficulty to Freshman. Turn off injuries. Set Player Min Speed Threshold to 0 (so that your fast players will outrun slower opponents more).

RB to Game Rules. Turn off whatever penalties you think are necessary. (I turned off holding so my O-line didn't nerf me.)

RB to Custom AI. Set all User settings to 100 and CPU to 0. This will make you into a superstar.

Now, if you're a QB, set up your audibles so that you can run every play as a long pass play. (I always play QB, so if you're not, do whatever you need to do. I found QB to be the easiest.) At this point, you should score so often that you eventually get benched.

Make sure you save after every game. After the last game of the regular season, make double sure you save. If you don't win the Heisman, and you've been leading, reload that save and resim until you do. The Heisman is worth a lot of points, so you want to make sure to win that. If you're undefeated but don't make the Championship game, and resimming doesn't help, don't worry. You'll probably make it next year. This achievement will probably take two years to get in any case.

All you have to do for this achievement is take an existing player. I used a good DE(93+ OVR). Lower the difficulty to Freshman, and put offsides to 0 in the house rules section. Don't worry when it says modifying the settings will disqualify you from Leaderboards. It will disqualify you from Online Leaderboards, but this achievement goes by the Offline Leaderboards so it doesnt matter. Anyways, turn the offsides to 0 and just stand next to the the opposing QB and sack him every play. The achievement popped for me after the 3rd game. Good Hunting!

If you're looking for the easiest way, it is definitely going to be by using a QB or HB; playing as a receiver will not guarantee that you touch the ball each player, which is also true for an RB, but not as much. If you choose a QB you will have the option to audible out of a running play whenever it comes up so that you can pass or scramble for yardage. (If you set yourself with extremely high ratings, it is easy to rush for 10-15 yards or more on each scramble.)

"Make a Defensive End (RE). Then turn offside off in house rules. You'll become a 5-star recruit after you win the High school Championship. Then you need to get 52 career sacks to get this trophy, "Head and Shoulders Above", and "Campus Legend". It should only take 3 to 4 games after High School. I average anywhere between 12-18 sacks a game depending on how often the other team passes the ball." (Credit to OlympiakosNYC for this method)
