How to unlock the High School Champ achievement in NCAA Football 11 - Definitive Guide

The high school playoffs are unlocked by creating a new character in the main menu under Career and then Road to Glory. As mentioned above, a QB will make things easier, but if you adjust the sliders in your favor, you'll be winning the games with ease anyway.

Here is a list of things that will make this achievement both easy and non-glitchy.

Things you CAN do:

1. At the pause menu, go to settings and adjust all of your sliders to 100. Press LT to adjust all the AI's settings to 0. This will make all games a lock win.

2. After doing so, you can sim all games up to but not including the championship game. With the sliders in your favor, you should win the simulation every time, but in case in you're worried, go to the options tab from the main settings menu and turn off auto save. Manually save after each win, making it easier to pick up where you left off in case you lose by playing or simming.

3. You can, in the championship game, choose the "sim until the next time I am on the field" option. However, pay attention to b) below.

Things you can't do:

a) You can't sim the final championship game; however, you can sim every game up to it.

b) There is strong evidence on the x360a forums that if you sim even one play of the championship game where your player is on the field (ie if you are a QB, you can't sim offensive plays; if you are a DB, you can't sim defensive plays), then the achievement won't unlock for you. Play every play where you are supposed to be on the field, keeping in mind as in 3) above, you can sim plays when your player is on the bench.

this is doable with any position, but it is by far the easiest to do with a quarterback. this is because of the ability to audible. if you are a defensive player, your offense struggles to score and you often find yourself losing late in games. as an offensive player who is not a qb, you are at the mercy of the offensive coordinator, who has convinced me that he has never watched a down of football in his life.

as far as what type of qb, that is totally up to you. it should be relatively easy to win all four games with any type of qb, based on your skill level of course. the three types of qb are taylor-made to fit all playing styles, so feel free to choose any of the three. my personal advice is option qb.

as an option qb, the cpu will pile defenders into the box, making it tough to successfully run the plays your coach calls. however, audible in a pass and you will find the coverage to be lackluster, enabling you to shred the defense through the air. again, this is only my personal opinion.

You have to play this game; you can’t just simulate and win. The game should be easy enough, though. No matter what you will win, unless you’re the quarterback and you make a lot of bad passes. People have been saying this trophy only unlocks if you play all the other games in the high school tournament, but I haven't confirmed that.
