How to unlock the Treasure Hunter achievement in NCAA Football 11 - Definitive Guide

When in a dynasty, simulate to the bowl games (they start after the conference championships).

Before proceeding, make sure quarters are set on one minute each. That will make this go much, much faster.

Once on Bowl Week, choose "Play this game" for each game. Then, choose to control either team (good idea to start with the better overall of the two).

After the coin toss and kickoff selections, DO NOT choose a play. Instead, press start, go into the menu and select "Super Sim". In there, press "Y" and simulate to next quarter. Do this through the first THREE quarters. Be careful not to simulate the whole game because the team you initially chose may not win.

Going into the fourth quarter, there will be one of three situations: Either your team is winning, your team is losing or there is a tie.

If your team is winning by 14 or more, it is typically safe to simulate through the end of the game.

If you are losing, go into the menu and under settings choose the first option for side selection. Switch to the other team - you will receive a pop-up about certain things being disabled, but this will not affect this achievement. Once you switch to the other team, you can either choose to Super Sim the rest of the game (once again I only recommend this if there is a minimum 14 point difference) or you can play it out to maintain the lead.

If you are tied, play out the fourth quarter and make sure you take the lead, thus winning the game.

After you exit out of the game, you are told you have won the bowl game and are asked if you want to add the trophy, to which you excitedly choose to do.

Doing this for each bowl game will net you this achievement.

As a side note, I had my game set to one minute, Freshman difficulty, all sliders changed to my benefit and offsides turned off. This makes it much easier to maintain or take over a game in the final minute.

Thanks to Mortis Invictus - Make sure when you save the game, you "Save All" to ensure the profile is saved. If you do not save your profile, the trophies will be lost.

IF you mod the game settings and take off the off sides deal you can really make things easy such as making the computer play stupid by turning down all their perks..( catching, throwing, running... ect) i did this for most of my game time on this game and was able to achieve almost all the achievements in a short time period. Also by my self.

Alright, so, stupid question: suppose you were going after some of the other achievements (like Perfect From The Start or Strike the Pose) and so had auto-save turned off (and so were saving the dynasty manually).

Suppose you didn't know you had to save the profile as well.

Suppose that you figured out you did have to save the profile, but only after you'd won (and then lost) several of the bowl trophies you won, because they didn't fucking save to the profile.

Would you be shit out of luck as far as getting this cheevo until you run through the post season again?

Damn. Figured so.

Might want to mention that fact in this guide, because I don't recall any of the other guides mentioning saving the profile as well as the dynasty. Hopefully you can help other people avoid a similar fate.

Thanks anyway.

I also found out that it needs to be on a single dynasty. I foolishly saved mine three times, sim/played each game, and then went to sim/play each game my team lost on the second gamesave. It only counts the bowl games from one game save, so even if you do it during multiple post-seasons, make sure it's only one one dynasty.

This Achievement is 1,000 times easier then it sounds. Start a Dynasty pick a team thats in the Top 25. I personally picked Alabama. You can either play through the dynasty or you could simulate through the entire season. Which I recommend for this achievement. You will want to simulate to the Bowl games. If you chose a Team that is in the Top 25 you will most likely receive a bowl bid. When it is Bowl week you want to go to the "ESPN" tab in the Dynasty homepage. From there you go to "Scores and Schedules". And make sure that YOU play each of those games and they can NOT be simulated. Also make sure that you start at December 20th and go down the list as you play each game.

*NOTE* Make sure that the Quarter Length is 1 Minute.

and if you super sim and your team is losing just switch your side before the game is over and it still counts :P

If you do play each game yourself, it'll take you around 3-4 hours. With loading times and all, it takes around 7-8 minutes to get through a game and start the next.

Wow, this helps out a lot. I can't believe the other guides don't actually tell you where to play the bowl games.

This achievement is easy but will take a while. Start a dynasty with any team in the top 25. Just sim all the way past the entire season to the bowl games. You do not have to get the conference championships just the bowl championships. The easiest way to do it is pop in 2 controllers one signed in as your profile and the other not signed in at all. Then just start the games and supersim and it doesn't matter who wins you will still get the trophy just do this for all the bowls. And at the end you will get the cheevo.

To make getting this achievement a lot easier use 2 controllers. Go to the ESPN tab on your dynast screen. Then go to scores/schedules. You are going to go through each and ever game. On the team selection screen put a controller on each side. When you get the choose play screen for the 1st time press start and press A on super sim. Now press Y to skip ahead. Choose end of game. No matter who wins the game you will still be given the bowl trophy to add to your trophy case. Rinse and repeat until you won your last bowl trophy. The BCS is the last game on the bowl games list. Use the same method as the other bowl games.

You should get this achievement in less than 45 minutes

When you get to Bowl Week, stop simulating. Go to ESPN and click scores/schedules, then play all the bowl games. It doesn’t matter what team you choose, it just matters that you win each game. You can super sim the whole game. The trophy will unlock when you have all the trophies and you open up the trophy case.
