How to unlock the Socialite achievement in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit - Definitive Guide

I believe this will pop up for most people before they even start the game as it counts if you have friends who have played the demo. If it doesn't then simply friend request some people who are playing or have played the game or just ask existing friends to download and play the demo.

Not got the full game yet, but the demo also had a feature in autolog that would suggest friends of friends for you to add if you had position 1 on the speedwall for any event.

The demo is no longer on the marketplace. The last day to be able to play the demo was on November 9th.

Yeah, but what I was meaning was that if that feature is in the demo it is probably in the full game too. Although as it hasn't arrived yet I cannot confirm this.

According to TA, 23 of my Xbox friends have played this game but only 1 shows in Autolog, no idea why but I'm going to add 4 silver/dummy accounts to my friend list and play the game with those.

The demo is discontinued, but it does leave a file in Games/Need For Speed Hot Pursuit on your hard drive, a demo data file that connect to the full game when you first boot it up to let the full game know you played the demo so the full game'll unlock the 500 free bounty for your cop and racer careers, and it also loads who of your friends also played the demo, so as long as you have five friends who at least played the demo, let alone the full version, this achievement WILL unlock when you first boot up the game.

Kinda suckers you into having to 100% the game's cheevos, but they're SUPEREASY! I'm 40 of 50 on the cheevos already after playing for about 20 hours or so, just gotta get the last three cop rank cheevos, the rest of the racer rank cheevos, and gold medal all the racer levels. laugh

@DivineWind72 - You only need one. When I got the achievement a few years ago, I just boosted with one guy and the achievement worked, you don't have to fill the starting grid, just go with one person and hope no one else joins in the middle of the boost, that's all.

This isn't really a solution for this achievement but pertains to it and will help with others: If when you start playing the campaign and you don't already have 5 friends WAIT till you're done playing through the campaign to get your five friends. The reason for this is when you finish an event in campaign you will get 2000xp for being at the top of the speed wall even if you have no friends on your speed wall; having 5 friends will make it obviousley harder to make it to the top of the wall. This xp will add up over time making it easier to level up as you play.

A great way to obtain this achievement is to enter any in-game multiplayer lobby and simply ask for friend invites or send friend requests. I just had to ask once and I got the achievement.

Another way to obtain this achievement is to look around on various message boards (such as the TrueAchievements forum) and create a post asking for friend requests or just looking for GamerTags.

If you want to boost this yourself without sending out friend requests you can create as many free Xbox live silver accounts as needed and add these to your main account's friends list. Boot up the game at least once with your silver accounts and join the EA servers.

If you are starting the game and don't have 5 friends who have played hot pursuit there is a great forum for trading achievements on xboxachievements.com

Simply find people looking to trade the achievement and send them a friend request. If you can't find people to accept your request it is simple to make an account to post in the forum.

Likewise, you can visit the forum on true achievements for hot pursuit and look for help there as well.

This is also helpful if you are looking to get any of the other online or dlc achievements as the online community for this game is pretty much dead. I am willing to help anyone as well.

If you have played the demo and acquired five or more friends, then this trophy will pop as soon as you start playing the game. If you don't have the required five friends, then please use the Boosting thread to acquire the five friends needed for this trophy. You only need to have the five friends on your list, you do not need to play with them.
