How to unlock the Legend Player achievement in NHL 12 - Definitive Guide

I earnt this at the end of my 2nd season.

Playing on 'Pro' difficulty, during my first season I won the 'Rookie of the Year' trophy - this does NOT get you the achievement!

Once I earnt XP and levelled up, at the end of the 2nd season I won 4 trophies / awards (the Art Ross being the first, and this unlocked it).

I'm going after the 216 points in a season achievement and Im practically leading the league in all categories. Do you think I can sim some games once I get 216 points or should I play every game?

I got the 216 achievement now, I just don't feel like playing the whole entire season and was wondering if simming the rest of the season (40 games left) would hurt my chances of getting this achievement.

I got to about 70 games and had over 260pts - I had a mix of simmed & played games, but the game doesn't tell you how many pts you got whilst simming / playing! So I gave up on it (and have since got rid of the game).

To be sure, I'd start a season and play everything until you hit 216, that way you know what pts you've earnt.

Yea, thats what I did once it said I hit 216 the achievement popped. I'm just gonna do mix of simmed and played games untill the playoffs.

This will unlock a week after the Stanley Cup Finals are over. The NHL Player trophy can be a regular season trophy or a playoff trophy. Listed below are some of the trophies you can earn:

  • Hart Memorial Trophy - given to to the league's most valuable player
  • Calder Memorial Trophy - given to the league's most outstanding rookie player
  • Art Ross Trophy - given to the player who leads the league in total points at the end of the regular season
  • Conn Smythe Trophy - given to the most valuable player for his team in the playoffs
