This should come from normal play, but if you can't seem to unlock it, here's a simple solution that works most of the time.
Pick the Boston Bruins to play as and start a game. After a whistle when the play is dead, switch to Zdeno Chara (#33, defense) then build up some speed and smash into one of the smaller players on the team. Achievement should unlock if you hit them hard enough, and it's easy to line up since it's after the play! Hope this helps.

Here is how I earnt this Cheev;
I'd been playing fairly normally, going for the occasional hit but after about 15 games I'd yet to do this.
I then decided to attempt a monster hit on their GK - 1st check and *ping* - Achievement Unlocked!

I got this almost the same way. I still popped the goalie, but after the whistle! :) No penalty, just 10 GS.

Really enjoyable - take a long run-up, SMASH - ping!

You are going to try and wait for a CPU player/Controller 2 be near or coming along the boards, and you are going to be charging for a hit with the 
to hit the player. A bigger player against a smaller player works best. You can also knock the mask off the goalie to counts as well. Wait till there is a whistle and skate as hard as you can and nail the goalie. 50% of the time the goalie's mask will come off. Trophy appears after the helmet/mask comes off.
