All that must be done to get this achievement is to follow the main storyline. After completing the events the second time the main story sends you to the Aerie, Kaine will join you and you will automatically recieve this achievement.

This trophy is part of the story progression and cannot be missed.
When you return to The Aerie for the second time, you will fight with Kainé against some shades and the larger shade you fought when you first met her. After defeating the shade, Kainé will be knocked down to a lower platform. Go down and converse with her, after a cutscene she will join you and the trophy will unlock.
