How to unlock the Message in a Bottle achievement in OKAGE: Shadow King - Definitive Guide

Default

A Wealthy Slave
Accrue 500,000 sukel.

This may or may not come naturally on your way to the platinum. When defeating enemies, they will either drop a money bag or a treasure chest. Money bags mean money and treasure chests mean items. You will need to have a total of 500000 Sukel on you at once. I suggest you avoid buying unnecessary things and stick to the necessities. Enemies will start off giving very little but the amount will gradually go up as you progress with the game. You will probably obtain this on your way to level 70. I suggest farming the World Library and just encounter enemies/run away until you meet an enemy group consisting of a Bad Poetry Golem & 2 Radiant Suns. This group gives a high amount of around 6000 Sukel and tons of EXP. Make sure to save at a diary beforehand because there is a chance that the Bad Poetry Golem will steal 100000 Sukel from you which is a huge setback. If this happens, just reload and try again. You can also try your luck in the Deep Grave Pit dungeon. In there, you have a chance to find the 24K Screw enemy. This enemy will always drop 9999 Sukel when defeated. However, this may not be the best route since this enemy can be very rare to encounter.

Varsity
Reach level 70 with three characters.

This will probably be the longest trophy to obtain as It's highly unlikely that you will reach level 70 through natural gameplay. The best way to grind for EXP is to go to the World Library dungeon and encounter/run away until you meet an enemy group consisting of a Bad Poetry Golem & 2 Radiant Suns. This enemy group gives out the most EXP and guarantees that you will level up at least once, they also give out a little over 6000 Sukel (if they all drop money instead of treasure) which makes this a nice group to also farm for A Wealthy Slave.

Like Two Peas in a Pod
Receive a Compatibility Gift.

Throughout the game you will have dialogue options. Depending on your answers, you will start to form stronger relationships with certain characters. (For Example: Being mean to Stan and nice to Rosalyn will improve her compatibility. Being nice to Stan will improve his compatibility. Certain actions will improve other characters' compatibility as well). After Chapter 5, speak to a fortune teller in any Inn to see which character you have the strongest compatibility with. After speaking to that character, they will give you a compatibility gift. Depending on which character the fortune teller says, take the appropriate action to receive your gift:

Your father - Speak to your father in the basement of your house
Rosalyn - Speak to Rosalyn next to the merchant in Triste
Stan - Stay at the Inn in Madril
Julia - Speak to Julia in Tenel
Mysterious woman - Speak to the mysterious woman in Tenel Forest
Marlene - Stay at the Inn in Rashelo

All Accounted For
Collect 30 Tiny Gears.

There are a total of 32 Tiny Gears throughout the game. There are 8 in Tenel Forest, 8 in Rumille Plains, 8 in Pospos Snowfield and 8 in Addashi Desert. For this trophy, you only need to collect 30 Tiny Gears. The best time to begin looking for these is at the beginning of Chapter 5. After the recent events in the story, you should notice that enemies won't attack you anymore. This will allow you to search for the Tiny Gears without any interference. However, you will not have access to the Addashi Desert yet so you can only find 24 Tiny Gears. Once you find 24 of the Tiny Gears, proceed with the story until you reach the Addashi Desert, then find the last 6. If you have trouble finding any of the gears, then here is a Guide by HonestLiar on GameFaqs: LINK

Note: After obtaining 30 Tiny Gears, go to the Gear Man in Pospos Snowfield and trade him 30 Tiny Gears for the Sword of Gear. This is the most powerful weapon in the game for Ari (Player).

Raging Devil
Correctly answer Stan's questions for him to execute a bonus attack.

When you encounter enemies, there is a chance that Stan will pop up and ask you some questions. Depending on your answers, Stan will do a pre-emptive attack called Raging Devil. There are 3 parts of an answer to each question and you need to pick a combination of parts that makes Stan happy. Here is a list of some of the questions and acceptable answer combinations to have to Stan attack:

Describe the unhinged terror. I'm so horrifying that you would...
Pee your pants , if bone chilling , inexplicable horror
Pee your pants , if he appeared , while half asleep
Pee your pants , if bone chilling , while half asleep
Pee your pants , if he snuck up , while half asleep

Give me a blood curdling war cry!
Go! , Go! , Go!!!
Shaaa! , Dooow! , Kiiick!!!
Shin! , Sou! , Kyaku!

What are the fundamentals of combat?
Be calm , be forceful , & let em have it!
Make a plan , cut loose , & let em have it!
Take a breath , focus your power , & let em have it!
Make a plan , be forceful , & let em have it!

Those were just some of the questions I received. For a full list of questions and appropriate answers, here is a guide by Falconesque at Gamefaqs: LINK

Hopkins' Legacy
Acquire the Forgotten Sword.

The Forgotten Sword can be found in the World Library dungeon. You must first progress far enough to acquire the Amethyst key. After, head to the east wing and go through the door at the north west corner of the map. Follow the path and you should arrive at a small, separate room in the central library. In the room you should find a chest containing the Forgotten Sword. This sword can reveal passageways in previous areas and dungeons which contain some nice items. None of items are necessary to beat the game or obtain your Platinum in any way though so don't feel the need to backtrack unless you want to.

Message in a Bottle
Acquire the Hand Knit Cap from the Sickly Pretty Girl.

This is a side quest you can start in Rashelo. After defeating the Bubble Evil King, go to the Lighthouse in Rashelo. Stan will look inside and give you an empty bottle he found. After, head to the Rumille Plains and go towards the circus. Near the circus and the river, you should see a man standing still so talk to him and he will ask you to write a message then put it in the bottle. The message does not matter, as it doesn't affect the overall outcome. After putting the bottle in the river, head to the beach directly across from you to find the bottle you just sent. Go back and talk to the man again to send out the bottle another time. Once again, head back to the beach and pick up the bottle you just sent. Talk to the man a third time and go back to the beach. This time, you should find a bottle with a note from a sick girl. Go to Tenel and head for the Village Elder's house at the base of the stairs to the town hall and church (it's same house as the one from the Cyphertext side quest). Go to the 2nd floor and the sick girl will be in one of the rooms. Talk to her and she will give you the Hand Knit Cap item.
