How to unlock the Of The People, For The People achievement in Operation Flashpoint: Red River - Definitive Guide

This is pretty self explanatory. You just need to do exactly what it says on the tin and pick up an AK47 after killing an enemy by pressing 'A' and swapping out one of your weapons. This can be completed early on in the first mission "Welcome to Tajikistan" and of course in subsequent missions.
