I went awhile before I figured out how this was done. All the journal entries have “Memory” attached. You can re-earn multiples of the same memory so don’t worry about wasting one.

When you’re in reviewing your Daughters between missions click on one with and use to select a skill that you want to attach a memory too (a skill that does multiple attacks is a good skill to use a +50 damage Memory on, for example, as each attack will be boosted by that much). Hit on the skill and a list of Memories you own will be shown. Use again and when you’ve highlighted the one you want to use just hit again and the Memory will be attached and the achievement will pop.

That copy of the Memory is used up, but can be overwritten by a better Memory on that skill later on and, again, you can re-earn extra copies of the same Memory. Every time you attach a Memory there is a Vitae cost, once you’re more advanced in the game this will be the main thing you spend Vitae on. For now, though, you likely have way more than you need, so don’t worry about spending a bit.

Memories don’t carry over between Remembrances (new runs) so use them or lose them.
