How to unlock the The Destructor achievement in Overlord II - Definitive Guide

You have to always choose the bad way. These are the things you must do to get the achievement: "note: make sure you'll do all these things when you confront them for the first time. You won't get a second chance!"
*Kill borius in Nordberg
*Destroy nordberg and everlight
*Kill the people at the Nordberg community sidequest
*Kill the governess of Everlight
*Light all the tar pits in Nordhaven
*Kill the senator and his wive in the Empire Heartlands (where you get the carrying chair)
*Kill Fay
*Kill the Yeti in the arena
*Kill the elves during the elves rebellion quest (you need to use the reds for killing the elves on the last big bombing platform and shoot at the explosive barrels with reds to complete the quest, like stated below. If you use greens, the game will count it as letting them live, because they'll flee, and not as killing them. So then your destruction rating is messed up.)

I also had a bug that i killed every Elf (with reds) on the final bombing platform, during the Elven rebellion quest. But that didn't complete the quest. (it did complete the Destroy Everlight Town quest, but not the Elven rebellion quest) To complete the quest fully, let your reds shoot at the explosive barrels that are on the final bombing platform. Otherwise the quest stays unfinished.

If you still don't get the achievement after this list, i have a really useful tip:
I found out that you can just come back to the Empire Sewers and kill the people there. Then teleport somewhere else and come back again. The slaves keep respawning. So you can keep killing them (There are few on the streets, but just destroy the houses so they'll come out).

So if you can't get your destruction rating to 100% with the list named above, try killing the slaves in Empire Sewers.

[edit] Like Lord Valoel pointed out: It is wise to decline every request you get in your tower. You can still do the quests by means of your map, but you'll immediately deny the other request, like loaning some of your minions.

Actually, you have to do all that AND whenever a request comes up to go somewhere and do something, REFUSE it. I found that out the hard way

Some people say you'll have to do that. I got it without doing that. But i'll add it to my solution.

You can tell by looking at your history (Back, X, X) what the outcome of your quests has been.

I did not kill Drearius and his wife at the first chance... now, my history says I turned him into my slave. Whenever I go back, he's alive again, but destroying him and his wife does not change anything anymore... there goes my 100% destruction...

yes that sucks. I will add a warning there to always make a choice when you first come to them. So you left without enslaving or killing them? I didn't even know that was possible...

Worth mentioning to kill the elves in the rebellion quest you have to use the reds, I used my greens to get them off the platform first and messed up my achievement

Your right about killing the people in Empire Sewers to get more Destructor, but when it reaches 100% it dose nothing because you need to kill all the people through the story line. So killing them is useless if you missed something in the story line.

Meh cant edit, also when killing people i used the target and use axe rather than using magic, does this still count?

You must kill those elves with you red minions. Use the red minions on the explosive barrels on the platform. Using your greens counts as rescuing them, so domination. And as far as i know, killing people using the axe counts.

For this achievement you must make choices during the game that will influence your Aligment bar, destroy houses or kill people before taking control of the city will not affect the bar, only when you have the side quest.

-Kill Borius
Borius is the mayor / governor of Nordberg Town.

-Kill off all inhabitants in Nordberg Town
For this achievement you must kill all people in Nordberg Town, after taking control you will have some citizens around the city, kill them and destroy the door of each house making the residents leave, there are 2 that leave each house if only 1 you leave can destroy the house, there are also some closed gates in the east and west of the city that you will need the green and blue minions.

-Torch the fourth bin with pitch in Nordhaven

-Kill all Nordberg Commune members

-Kill Governess
Governess is a woman in Everlight Town

-Kill inhabitants in Everlight Town
Here you will have to do the same thing as in Nordberg Town the difference is that there will be 4 people in each house and 80 in the beginning, the other 20 you will have to do the side quest "Rebellion in Everlight" to clear the way for another part of the City.

-Kill Drearius and his wife
You'll find them in Empire Hearthlands

-Kill Yeti monster
After meeting the blue minions for the first time you will have to go to the arena, there you will find Yeti again.

-Kill Queen Fay
Proceeding in the game you will once again meet Queen Fay, defeat her and she will become Dark Fay, after that she will be walking to the portal, kill her before she can enter.

-Rebellion in Everlight
Here you will have to kill some enemies in the beginning, right after destroying the first barricade with the bombs that the enemies are throwing at you, later on you will have a bridge, use your red minions and position them with cn_Y to destroy all the civilians on this last bridge, so you can kill the last 20 inhabitants of Everlight Town.

These trophies will come very late in the game after you have gotten through the Wasteland and the last side quest is opened up. You need to make sure that before you attempt any of these to do only one path and to make saves in case you mess up to save yourself the pain of more playthoughs.

  • Kill/Dominate Borius in Nordberg
  • Light the final tar pit in Norhaven/Dominate 10 people. Only use browns if you want to be safe.
  • Destroy/Dominate the Elven Commune (sidequest)
  • Kill/Dominate the Governess of Everlight.
  • Kill/Dominate Senator Drearius and his wife in the Empire Heartlands.
  • Kill/Dominate the Yeti in the Arena
  • Kill/Dominate everyone in Nordberg/Everlight.
  • Kill Dark Queen Fay or let her live as your mistress. You have the choice after the cutscene with Fay.
  • Kill/Chase away the Elven rebellion. Save before you start this as this can break your entire run. At the end of the rebellion you see a giant platform with 10 or so elves on it. Use the reds to blow it up for Destruction or Greens with spiders to scare them away for domination. As the rebels and citizens are both hostile, be very careful when killing enemies, you don't want to accidentally kill and elf and not get the trophy due to one person.
A word of caution from pretend_hero:

When you're going through the story trying to get 100% domination/destruction and complete the section where you have to kill/dominate Senator Drearius and his wife, don't go back to that section of the game even if you missed something. The cutscene just before reaching them will play again and while you'll be able to kill/dominate them again and advance despite the chair no longer being there, it will move your progress bar back and won't count those actions again.

To get a 100% Destruction Tyranny rating, you need to use Taret Spell kills instead of submission at key points in the game (you can upgrade your Target Spell for faster kills). Here is a list of key points:

1. Kill Borius the ruler of Nordberg.

2. Kill all 100 inhabitants of Nordberg and destroy all houses (See getting the Walking Apocalypse trophy).

3. Set fire to the tar pit at the end of the level to free the ship from the ice.

4. Destroy Nordberg's Elvish Commune.

5. Kill the ruler of Everlight

6. Kill all 100 residents of Everlight and destroy all houses (See getting the Walking Apocalypse trophy).

7. Kill Senator Drerius and his wife.

8. Kill the Yeti in the arena (use Taget Spell until he dies).

9. Use Target Spell to kill Dark Fay before she reaches the portal.

10. Kill all the elves in the mission in the mission "Everlight Rebellion" at the very end of the game, (For more details, see getting the Walking Apocalypse trophy). These are the last 20 of Everlight's 100 residents.

ATTENTION! Under no circumstances complete the mission by Enslaving (drive the residents off the platform with a green minion on a spider). This action will count toward the Enslavement path, and even if you then kill all the elves, you will not be given a trophy. Use Target spell to kill them.
