How to unlock the Lifeless achievement in Panzer Dragoon: Remake - Definitive Guide

- You can track your Hours at the Stats Screen
- Cheats TEMPORARILY disable the time counter. You're play time won't start adding up again until you force close the game in effort to turn off the cheats. (Restart the game)
- This CAN BE obtained by staying idle at the main menu *Dragon shadow must still be moving*
- Make sure you adjust your xbox settings so your xbox doesn't fall asleep after awhile
- Make sure you use a wired controller so the screen doesn't dim out.
- After 100 Hours on the stat screen, the achievement WILL NOT pop right away. You must complete at least one level for it to pop.

Question about this achievement on Series X:

I know you need to essentially bank your hours of sitting on the title screen by playing a level, but with quick resume can you skip banking, play another game, and just EVENTUALLY play a level to bank it all at once?

@digitalatlas, I'll test this and get back to you

@digitalatlas, it currently doesn't have quick resume enabled. I did test it being in the background while using a separate app but it did not add to the playtime.

If I do this on several separate days, do I need to play a level after each idling session, or only after hitting 100 total hours on the final day?

You can idle it on the menu, but you do need to essentially bank the time by entering a level which will update the timer on the stat screen. I found this out the hard way on PS4 when I got sprung by a system update without my knowledge which wasted a couple of hours of "grinding" it.

Digitalatlas about this banking do you have to bank because the timer in the stats page is going up. I have done 15 hours without banking and my in stats shows I have played 15 without playing a level I just checked stats before closing game down.

Not sure about tracking the time, but every time you let the game sit there and acquire time, you need to play a level and bank it. If you don't bank it, you'll have wasted your time.

What EastX said, yes. If you sat there for 15 hours and didn't play a level after, those 15 hours are lost. It's because the game only saves after a level has been played, and the achievement isn't tracked externally but unlocked once the game itself has a 100hour+ save.

I will bank. It’s strange the time tracks internal but don’t count.

It is if you're looking at it from that perspective, but if you look at it from the "This achievement pops when the game save file says 100hours" it makes sense how it's counted. You don't gain progress in other games if you don't save and turn off the game right?

okay my game says I have 57hrs as time in game. I haven't banked anything ever. Everytime I turn the game back on it has the right time. Are you saying this 57hrs doesn't count cause I didn't play a level?

Confirmed what chucklestyle said you can leave it on the main screen for 100 plus hrs. Then once over 100 hrs have accrued per the stats screen just play one level to completion and achievement will pop.

I'm leaving my Xbox on and the TV off. Just did a quick calculation. Figuring an average of 120W, the Xbox One X uses .12kWh. At $.14/kWh (average power cost from my util), 100 hours will cost $1.68. That's almost two whole dollars for ten points, and I can't use my Xbox for 100 hours (99 if you include the time I spent actually playing). That's an expensive achievement, considering it costs almost as much as the game itself does right now...

Idk Ghinn, I think if someone buys Peppa Pig or Ratalika games they shouldn't complain about the cost of an achievement haha

Just because you laughed at the end doesn't make it a joke. The implication wasn't funny. I'm complaining that this achievement is doing nothing but costing money by burning electricity since there's barely two hours of content in this game let alone one hundred, and you're being flippant about it and implying that somehow the games I choose to play have some bearing on my ability to have and voice an opinion.

It made it an attempt at having a friendly interaction with you which you have proven you did not deserve, I agree.

I also didn't look at your profile for the Peppa thing. It's been on the front page the last week, it was fun to rib at. I played Ugly Dolls, I really don't care what you play. It was a funny coincidence you got extremely insecure about.

Actually, you know what, you're being an asshole: what makes you think coming in here and saying how you judge people for spending $1.68 on getting this achievement and saying how not worth it is but when someone counters it pull the "WELL YOU'RE TAMPERING WITH MY ABILITY TO OPINE" Bro who are you. You're opinion isn't worth shit. You provided neat trivia (regarding your electric bill, rates are different everywhere btw) but that is it.

Just wanted to add that at least for me the in-game time counter is currently running at double speed. This means that you only need half the time getting to 100 hours.
Can't tell if this is just a coincidence or on purpose.

14 hours a day, across 7-8 days would be ideal. DO NOT let your xbox go over night.

Got the achievement just yesterday. Connect the controller to your xbox via charging wire/cable so it dont get dissconected and let the game just run in main menu. I started on sunday evening and let my xbox just run for 80+ hours since i already have had some playtime. Worked perfectly and YES you can let your xbox run over night.

Goggs: Unless I'm misunderstanding you, as long as your controller is on when the screen dims, your time still goes up so you just need to bank that time by playing a level. If you play a level and the playtime you accrued while idling is still on the main menu, it's banked and secure.

Not sure if there was a patch or whatever but I didn't have to bank. Left game on overnights on a secondary box. Each day it would force quit when I launched a game on my main. I would check the stats page each night to make sure it logged it. Once it was over 100 hours I played through level 1 easy and it popped.

Who bought Peppa Pig? If you're referring to the fact that it's on my profile, it's free on GP, took half an hour, and I played it just for the points while watching something on my laptop. So it basically cost $.07 for 1K points. That's why I said this was an expensive achievement. I just wish the game had more to offer to make me WANT to play for 100+ hours. I got all the achievements in Crimson Dragon and I don't remember how long it took me, but it was way more than the two hours this game took to get 99% of the points in. I love the Panzer Dragoon series and I may eventually play through this on hard without rapid fire just for the hell of it, but yeah, those last 10 points cost almost as much as the entire game did, which I thought was noteworthy.

I like a good on-rails shooter as much as the next person but I'll be blunt here and say that whoever was in charge of creating earnable trophies for this game is a closet sadist and should never be put in charge of trophy creation for a game ever again. 100 hours of gameplay for a game that can be beat within a single hour is ridiculous for a trophy objective.

with that said there's an easy way to put in the hours for anyone who doesn't have 100 hours or more of free time on their hands since this will most likely be the wall between them and the platinum Trophy.

step 1: leave the game on the title screen for four days straight.

step 2: don't exit the game on the fourth day and start a new game on any difficulty you're comfortable with.

final step: complete the first level to cash in the hours you've gone AFK on the title screen.

after doing all that the trophy should pop along with the Platinum Trophy.

in the unlikely scenario of this trophy being the first one earned instead I congratulate anyone who did it since all of the other trophies in the game are a breeze to collect by a longshot.

and in regards to what the Platinum Trophy should be named if it's ever given a more creative name than the name of the game it's for I suggest the name Dragoon Master since you need to master the game's mechanics to have an easy time beating the game.

The game has a glitchy in-game timer that resets every 24 hours. However, this is just a visual bug - the time is actually considered correct.
To get the trophy, leave the game idle on the title screen for 5 days, after which you need to start and complete any mission - the trophy will appear on the results screen.
