When you do the tasks in the challenge without failing, you'll get a gold medal. For most of the challenges, it should be easy to get it. For the hardest, just practice and test different methods like staying back and shooting from far. For the Jailbreak challenges, first use Bentley to find all the cages with his ultimate ability. Then come back with Daxter or Clank and use their ability to destroy the cages from far away.
