When you make it to chamber 15 be sure to wait until after he opens the exit, I didn't wait and it saved in the room before I noticed, I now get to start over.

I don't know if this one counts, but there's another opportunity in "This is the Part Where He Kills You". When you get to the conveyor belt that you have to use the propulsion gell, you can use the bombs to smash the monitor - portal under where the bombs fall and the other opposite the monitor.

FYI - On chamber 15, if you break the monitor before Wheatley reveals the exit, he won't give you an exit for the chamber. So, don't be too quick off the mark breaking that monitor. :)

Superb video and excellent track (2nd one) of bassnectar remix of ellie goulding's lights - chamber 16 was proving to be a nightmare with constant bouncing off the platform until realisation that holding b kept you on the repulsion gel and you can grap the turret from behind.

*spoiler* its basically referring to when Wheatly gets you to do the test he designed twice near the start of chapter 8 - you need to smash the tv monitors (the ones with his face on) and there are 11 overall on test chambers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (two here), 6, 11, 12, 15, and 16 - just follow the video and you should be fine

@paddycfc22 At the beginning of Chapter 8, Wheatley makes you do the same test twice in a row. After that part is when you should start looking for the monitors for this achievement. There are monitors before that part, but you can't destroy them. That's what the solution author is referring to.

So what happens if I die in the process of breaking a monitor? For example, in chamber 2, I hurled my body, not the cube, at the monitor... Of course I died. Did it count? When I come back, the monitor no longer looks broken, so I don't know. Thanks.

In Chapter 8, Level 15, another way to do it is to shoot an orange portal on the square high on the wall across from the monitor, and a blue portal down on the floor, directly below it, where the white floor meets the wall. If you can manage to fall through the blue portal from the orange one, you should come flying out with enough momentum to smash the monitor. I figured this out after I couldn't do the method shown in the video.

Positive vote.
On the final monitor mission, I had a lot of trouble dropping the blue goo on two robots and then grabbing the last one, SO I used the goo on the first and last robot leaving the centre one. That worked for me, maybe it will for someone else too.

Just wanted to confirm that if you miss a monitor, you can just start back at the beginning of Chapter 8 and work your way back to it and the achievement will still unlock. I missed the second one on Chamber 5, then went back for it without breaking any of the other ones before or after and still got the achievement.

I found that an easier way to get the remaining turret for the last monitor was to use the tube near the door where the ceiling is lower - when you're floating by the ceiling shoot the other portal to the incline to the left of the turret and drop through the hole - you should land next to the turret, which will save the mucking around with portals a bit.

Also, if you do muck it up and it saves, go back to the main menu and load game - it has two autosave slots and the first one should be as you entered the room.

The readily visible portion of the solution is spoiler free. Very minor spoilers are hidden appropriately in spoiler tags.

This is done in Chapter 8.

This guide will tell you where the monitors are but not how to break them.

Locations: Chambers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (two monitors), 6, 11, 12, 15, and 16.

Additional Info:
-You don't have to do them all in one run. If you miss one (and know which one it was) you can just go back and break that one.
-There is no monitor in the very first chamber.

-There is at least 1 in every other chamber.

Good Luck!

This is the actual order of the test chambers. 7-10 are skipped, as well as 13 and 14. So basically just break every monitor. No skipping necessary on the players' part.

I believe it does not count if you do it with your body and die, as it reloads the previous check point. Could be wrong, but that is my belief.

You can redo using developer commentary and break only the one you missed, and the achievement will unlock there and then. I missed the second one in room 5, completed chapter 8, redid and smashed only that one, and it popped. You'd have to redo all the tests up till the one you missed though.

you might want to note that the monitor you break in chamber one, is not the chamber one made by wheatley (the one you have to do twice)

In Chamber 12, if you hold the refraction box over your head where the laser comes out, you can hit the screen, incase you missed it.

Edit: I am so sorry guys. All my videos have been taken down.....Youtube banned my profile. They didnt even give me a warning. i don't even know the actual reason either....

Chapter 8: The Itch

You must smash 11 Test Chamber Monitors (there are only 11 that you can). There are multiple ways to smash the monitors. The ways to smash monitors are: flying into them yourself, using a cube to fly into them, using a turret to shoot them, and using the red laser to burn them.

Test Chamber 1: 1 Monitor
Test Chamber 2: 1 Monitor
Test Chamber 3: 1 Monitor
Test Chamber 4: 1 Monitor
Test Chamber 5: 2 Monitors
Test Chamber 6: 1 Monitor
Test Chamber 11: 1 Monitor
Test Chamber 12: 1 Monitor
Test Chamber 15: 1 Monitor
Test Chamber 16: 1 Monitor

I just got this achievementd found out that you can use challenge mode and you also don't have to finish the level for it to count either. Just to save some time.

P.S. thanks to III JONESY III I forgot to mention but its in The Itch that the TV's are. And there is not checkpoints so you do it in one go. But you can break the TV and leave

As the description says, you need to break 11 chamber monitors throughout the campaign. Here's a video from RoosterTeeth which shows all monitor locations and how to break them:

Hope this helps, and happy hunting!

This can be a difficult one to get, I definitely struggled until I watched this video, courtesy of Geoff & Jack over at Rooster Teeth.

The 11 Monitors are located in 10 chambers. Although they are found in 10 chambers in sequence the chambers the monitors are found in are labelled as follows-

1 (not Wheatley's push the button chamber), 2, 3, 4, 5 (2 monitor's in here), 6, 11, 12, 15 & 16.

Make sure you save at the beginning of each chamber

The 11th one takes some fine skills, but it's definitely possible. Don't let the fact that there is a 12th one later fool you, it's not inside a chamber and doesn't count.

These are "collectibles" in Chapter 8. As there are 11 monitors in total you must smash. Refer to the following video for the locations and strategies you can use to smash these monitors. Each smash will be saved as you will see a "saving profile" message after each successful smash. So if you miss any during your playthrough, you can always go back to chambers using chapter select to clean-up any missing smashes.

Warning: Video *will* contain spoilers

Monitors can be broken in several ways.

Point a laser beam at them.

Destroy with fire from turrets.

Jump onto the monitor yourself with great acceleration.

Throw a cube, also accelerated, into the monitor.

Below is a video on how to break each monitor.
