How to unlock the Triple Crown achievement in Portal 2 - Definitive Guide

Chambers 2, 3 and 4 are the easiest to get this in. After one playthrough to get it down, playing those 3 again will be a breeze to do in under 60. And if you hadn't noticed, that panel on your left before you enter the disassembly pod allows you to choose which chamber to start with.

edit: Also, the game is always keeping track of your times, so unlike the Course 4 without dying achievement, you can get this one in increments. Credit to Avata.

I agree. You might also want to add that you are not required to get all three in a single play-through. A friend and I got it in Chamber 2 after a test run.

Also, you may want to add that the timer for a course stops after the door to the exit door is is opened, and GLaDOS starts talking.

How can you tell how fast you've completed a Chamber?

There's not really any in-game way of knowing. When my friend and I did these three chambers though, we just knew they were under 60 because it wasn't even close, I think we probably did them in under 30. You could always use a stopwatch though.

I don't understrand why this solution has negative votes.

Does it matter? Maybe its just people without friends to play co-op with.

The mass and velocity course is labeled 2 in the hub. Also it's good to know I don't have to do all three chambers in one go. My co-op partners and I tend to forget how to solve the chambers rather quickly lol.

Are they easy to do with two controllers, playing on my own?

Not in 60 seconds, I doubt it.

a friend of mine couldn't help me with this cheevo, so i did an online game with a random player. Turns out I got this faster with this random player than with my friend, on the first 3 chambers too! what luck!

I just did it in splitscreen with a guest account, so no problem
and it seem to works if you play in "time trial" in the dlc, I made each lvl to test in time trial, and when I finished lvl 2 in normal coop, it popped

Actually, I think it might be because I'm just using a guest account for my second controller and not a gold account, can anyone confirm? I'll try it again with my second gold account after I help someone do Professor Portal with it. I found a video on youtube how to do it solo and I know I've done 3 chambers in under a minute but it still didn't pop.

Hmmm, I may need help with this one. I've tried it solo with a second controller. I can get through chamber 2 in 45 seconds but 3 and 4 take me a bit over 60 seconds. I've tried just doing chamber 2 5 times (per the last comment) but it didn't work. Shoot me a message on Xbox, I do have a mic

This is for a solo runthrough.

As stated in the other solutions chambers 2, 3 and 4 are the easiest to do this one on. However, they can be done solo. I've made a video showing how I did it and with a little practice you should be able to do it too.
The hardest chamber is the number 3 but keep in mind the 'timer' stops when you open the door to the exit which means both players can be on different sides of the map. You'll see in my video that player 2 (who the achievement pops for) is no where near the exit.

This is a fairly easy and straight forward achievement to obtain. The goal is to finish three test chambers in the Mass and Velocity Course in under 60 seconds. Obviously you can achieve this goal during a solo play through with two controllers or in co-op with a friend. Once a test chamber is completed it is possible to reselect the test chamber and give it another try. When you walk in the Mass and Velocity Course, on the left as you enter, there is a chamber selection screen.

The three easiest test chambers (as Shabobble stated above) are two, three, and four. Below is a video showing you exactly how to complete the test chamber in the required time (it is not my video, I take no credit for it).

Important notes that you may want to know:
- Mass and Velocity Course is the 2nd set of courses.
- The timer starts when the doors open at the beginning of the test chamber and stops after the doors close at the end.
- The game will not state how fast a test chamber is completed (you can time yourself if necessary).
- You do not have to complete it in one play through (here and there is fine).
- You can achieve this by playing split screen with two controllers. It will be bothersome by yourself (with a friend is recommend).

*Always willing to update my solutions. So please let me know if there is a problem.*

"Obviously you can achieve this goal during a solo play through or in co-op as well"

How can you possibly do this in solo play, when it's a co-op mode achievement?

When I said "solo play through" I was referring to one person playing alone with two controllers for those particular chambers. I should have worded the statement better, thank you for pointing that out for me.

It is best to do chambers 2, 3, and 4 in the Mass and Velocity course to get this trophy. Each time you complete a chamber on-time, you'll see the "saving profile" in the top-left of the screen. As you don't have to complete all the courses in one sitting, and you can repeat any chambers as neccessary until you solve them under the allocated time limit. In our video, the trophy will pop at end of second chamber as the last chamber was done earlier in sequence.

The shortest are 2-4 cameras from this series. After completing the series, you can start it from any camera .

Study them first. and move forward...
