How to unlock the Invisible achievement in Prison Break: The Conspiracy - Definitive Guide

If you quickly pause the game once you've been spotted then switch off your xbox it doesn't count. I don't know if just restarting the level or last checkpoint from the pause menu would work, but this definetly does.
getting killed in quicktime events doesn't matter, just carry on from last checkpoint if you die.

It's mostly easy without doing this though, just take your time. Chapter 7 was the only problem for me as it has a long mission avoiding lots of spotlights and guards. After chapter 7, there is barely any places where you can get spotted (Just beginning of chapter 8 I think)

Can also be used for "Ninja" achievment

Quitting to dashboard works, but resetting to checkpoint only works for the mission 1 achievement, which makes no sense but when did programmers do anything logical lol.

Yup i can say that quitting to dashboard work's although it's a pain in the ass to do some of the chapter all over again but with every try you get more knowledge on how to beat the level so it's all good really...

can you get this achievement on the easiest difficulty setting?

By VengenZZZ6661 on 23 Jun 2010 06:19
yes, you can do it on easiest setting, but the only real difference between difficulties is with the fights.
Safer to do it on easy in case you end up fighting whilst being somewhere you shouldn't be (quite unlikely though)

I kept relaoding checkpoint and after completing the 1st level I did not get the achievement for completing chapter 1 without being spotted I would suggest using the dash method

Are 100% sure that if you fail a quick time sequence or lose in 1 of the boss type fights you can just continue? I've been going back to dashboard when I've been spotted, when I fail a button prompt and if I lose a fight.

I failed a couple of fights and sill got it.

If you're fighting in an area you are allowed in, you're alright. If it's anywhere else, maybe quit to dashboard to be sure.

The last part of Chapter 7 is a beast. Tons of difficult sequences and no savepoints in between. Once it's over, Chapters 8 and 9 are breezes. So glad to get this. It didn't take too long as I had done Shark and remember most of the stealth parts. +1 anyway.

I'm pretty sure if you fail quicktimes or fights, you're okay. Just as long as you aren't "caught" afterall...

do you have to do this in a playthrough (chapter 1 through to 8 without stopping)? I played through the campaign on easy then on missions i got caught i recorded what chapter it was and done it again afterwards and it hasnt popped :/ any suggestions?

I have no idea. I just did the game from start to finish.
I would assume it would be on one playthrough though, and why risk doing levels again for it to probably not work. (but then if it does, why do the whole game if you don't need to).
not much help, am I? I personally wouldn't risk it

It just says 'Complete each chapter without being seen', so you'd think you could use the Chapter Select Option. I just beat it on Shark, just have to go back through and get this achievement. This game is a pain in the butt though. Not hard just annoying

i did each chapter 1 by one and it didnt pop for me so im guessing it has to be all in 1. this would be so hard if you couldnt dashboard. wish i had the game its the only cheevo i didnt get and would have made it another completed retail game

Easy difficulty does not only affect fights, it also affects the guards' reaction times. I would strongly recommend going for this achievement on easy. Many guards that gave me trouble on hard took long enough to notice me on easy that I could just ignore them.

Did Shark first leaving me just 2 achievements left switched to Guppy had a few setbacks along the way mainly the spotlights but got the 1000 in about 15 hours....dashboardings the way to go, incase no-one mentioned it clear your cache of any saved file if like me you did it on shark first and missed the achievement which is very likely as the guards are so quick to spot you....if you finish one playthrough and then start a new without deleting your save file YOU WILL NOT GET THE ACHIEVEMENT....so be safe and delete it first

Just got Invisible. I can't stress how easy it is once you put it on guppy difficulty... when I did my shark playthrough I thought I would really struggle, not the case.

Also to confirm I did delete my save game, had to restart quite a few quick time events but didn't lose any fights. And dashboarded it when ever I was caught.

Yeah I did this, dashboard-ed every time, cleared my saves and cache beforehand, and I didn't get it

I didn't deleted the installed game, but I doubt that had anything to do with it

So yeah...I'm not happy.

Ooh that sux lol. I remember this game being a total pain in the ass! The best thing is usually the save points aren't too far apart and when you hid behind something you can pan out and see what's coming.. Sux it didn't work for you though :(

I may try this again, might just delete the install game to be save too

Is it possible to just restart checkpoint when you get like 2 red arrows or something before you actually get spotted? would save some hassle.
0
0
By Tendoman77 on 31 Mar 2014 16:31
Probably. cuz you have to actually get spotted to where it shows the person looks for you then it pauses and does a tiny cut scene. A lot of times though you can back up or sneak behind a corner if the arrows show, just don't get caught caught ya know

Just a little tip I didn't see posted elsewhere. If you're worried about accidentally pressing "A" while picking a lock, etc and then screwing up your chances by continuing, you can change the control layout in the menu. I did that and never had a problem...

Beware: reloading last checkpoint voids the achievement, even if You haven't been spotted yet! You always must dashboard, restart the game and select "continue" from the main menu. You can also use a USB memory stick and create backup saves.

just earnt this. chapter 7 seemed impossible but once i learnt the patterns it wasnt bad. i admit the checkpoints were non existent at the end which made you have to do it all in one go without dashboarding or youd be back to the fuse box part.

Just to confirm, I just got this by dashboarding everytime it said press A to restart after being spotted. However several times I failed a quick sequence or lost a fight and just pressed A to restart and it unlocked fine. Also 1 time I accidently pressed A after being seen but dashboarded just after re-spawning.
Also please remember to clear your cache and save file before going for this - I can't confirm this is 100% neccesay but I would.

PS. Chapter 7 is a pain in the arse

Just finished this today. I deleted my Shark save before starting the Guppy stealth playthrough. Do this just in case. It only takes a minute and it'll be worth it in case you did everything else right up to the end and got screwed just because a fresh save might've been necessary (can't be certain but don't take the risk of not doing it). I personally didn't clear the cache, though.

I was only spotted once but dashboarded when the "press a" screen came up. If you're about to be spotted or know you've messed up something, you can load the checkpoint manually and you'll be fine, just don't press A when you actually get the fail screen of course.

I'm not sure if failing a quick time event or losing a fight would count against you, but just to be safe, keep an eye on the QTE combos in the walkthrough so you know when one's coming up. The fights are pretty much impossible to lose anyway on Guppy, especially if you build yourself up with the weights (much quicker than the punching bag and annoying voice).

There's a fantastic video guide on YouTube which will make your life significantly less stressful with this achievement. Delete old Shark save. New Guppy save. Keep the QTE combos beside you. Use the YouTube walkthrough. Load checkpoint from menu if about to be spotted. Dashboard if spotted. Best of luck =).

Here is a super-useful picture guide, which you can use to get through this easier, as it tells you where all the guards and other hazards are going to be, so you can prepare:

http://guides.gamepressure.com/prisonbreaktheconspiracy/guid...

As other solutions have stated, it is recommended that you try this on "Guppy" difficulty, as the guards are slower to react and don't spot you as easily.

Also, if you are caught, make sure you DON'T press (A) to restart at checkpoint when prompted. Instead, pause, then quit to dashboard and reload the game. You may have to start some way back, but this is the only way to still get the achievement if you get caught.

Another point to be made, it will give you the option to 'load last checkpoint', that will NOT work. I got tired of dashboarding out and thought it would, it screwed cheevo up, sux too I was on the last 5 mins of the chapter lol

Can anyone confirm or deny that chapters can be done out if order? Also, do I need to quit to the Xbox dashboard or just to the game menu?

This game is a joke. Went back to it for the first time since Sept '10 to get this last achievement. Spent last night and today on-and-off doing it. Dashboarded the second I was seen every time. I messed up maybe 3 quick-time events (continued from there) but other than that didn't do anything wrong. No achievement.

I'm so stubborn I may just do it all again, but I really, REALLY don't want to.

I would suggest doing this on a second playthrough and play on guppy and just exit to the dashboard if spotted as others have suggested it is much easier on guppy and i would also delete your save game and clear the cache and start anew as on my first try of this ended with dissapointment and have had to go through again

I suggest you play the game once on shark difficulty and complete all challenges except this one. Then you start a new game on Guppy difficulty and you play the game. When you are seen you get Loading press A to continue. If you see this don't press A but go to your dashboard and start the game again and continue from last savepoint. It isn't really that hard eventually.

Okay let me try and clear up a couple things for anyone looking for further advice like I was. Starting off with a list of things I did.

1. I deleted my Game Save, deleted my Installed Game, and Cleared my Cache before starting this. I also did this after my Shark run and did not Install the game back. Better safe than sorry.

2. I only failed a single button pressing sequence right at the end of the game in the fight with Mannix. I continued instead of reloading and still got my achievement.

3. I probably had to use the Dashboard Method about forty times. I was worried that I was not going to get my achievement but I did.

4. You have probably already heard this, but make certain that you take your time. Also try to do this right after your Shark run so you remember as much as possible. It makes a huge difference.

5. Play on "Guppy" difficulty as it takes Cameras, Guards, and Spotlights longer to "see" you. Also in the same sense try to make sure you stay in prone mode so it takes even longer.

Now the reason that you should exit out and restart if you fail a button pressing sequence is simple. Because I am going to guess that some of them count as "being seen" which screws the achievements. For example when you are doing the elevator sequence if you fail you are left in front of a officer. I would be willing to bet that there is a good chance that this counts as "being seen".

Another example is if you fail a certain fight, sequence, or the like you it may count as "being seen" because it takes you into police custody or something. So just be safe and treat them as "being seen" to be safe.

Now the biggest problem I had with this game was if you do fail you do start very far back. This is especially the case with Chapter 7. As there are some very difficult areas and if you fail you restart the entire chapter. It is also a very long chapter. Believe it or not only about a dozen of my forty fails were on this chapter. However if you do get "seen" it is very frustrating as you lose a lot of progress.

You should also try to not fail the fights. They are also easier on Guppy as well. I liked to reverse my opponents attacks and immediately follow up with a Strong Punch. Also anytime you knock your opponent to the ground try to time a Strong Attack just as they are returning to their feet. Before this also make sure you kick them when they are down. I did not fail any fights so I am not sure whether or not any of them count. Again better to be safe than sorry.

It's easier if you start with a usb memory, and every time you see the game is saved, so if you see, just go to the main menu, put back (B) to appear (press star) and return to load the game, it is loaded in the last part that I keep.
every time the autoguarde game will ask you to insert the usb memory and to overwrite the data, I did it in 2 accounts and I skip the achievement at the end

It is better to get this trophy after collecting all the trophies, that is, save it for last.

Firstly, we make this trophy after beating the game on Shark, since you will know where you can hide, what to do and how to pass this or that security unnoticed and your character will already be fully upgraded and will be able to win any fight without any problems.

Secondly, we choose the Guppy difficulty, since it is at this difficulty that the guards practically do not see you, there are even cases when they look at you point-blank and there is a chance to escape; the cameras will not return to working condition if you turn them off( tip(square)).

Thirdly, we set the brightness of the TV to maximum, since it is sometimes that the screen picture that is too dark can interfere with the passage of a part in a poorly lit room.

Fourthly, you need to play stealthily, but at the same time do not forget that you can run, because in the seventh and fifth chapters there will be moments where you will have to run along the roof and you cannot hesitate there at all.

Fifthly, do not forget to hide in closets and open the doors (square), since at certain moments you will not be able to go further otherwise. (that's why I said it's better to take the trophy during the second playthrough).

Sixth, during fights, use a counter-strike more often (press during an enemy's attack), as it will save your life more than once.

And most importantly, do not under any circumstances choose to continue using the cross when you have been spotted, or loading the last checkpoint, or exiting to the main menu and selecting continue, since in these three cases you will definitely not receive the trophy!!!

After you were spotted and we saw the button (continue).

You need to press the PS button (since this button serves as a kind of pause in this game) and exit the game (exit to XMB). Then go into the game again => select the option to continue => start the passage from the last checkpoint.

Important!:

Losing a QTE will not affect this trophy, except for one (almost at the very end there will be a QTE where you will need to stun Bellic) and you cannot lose it, all the others can be played, but not necessary, since they are very easy and the buttons you need press, do not change.

By following these simple steps you will get this slightly unusual gold without any problems.

loading from last checkpoint when noticed didn't work for me! You need to go to the main menu and reboot "continue".

I note that in fights or other action episodes, when you need to quickly press buttons, if the attempt is unsuccessful, you don’t have to restart the game (the exception is in Chapter 9 with Bellick), but press the cross “continue” when the screen turns gray, the trophy is still they will!
