Once you're on the International Team you will be subbing in over the course of 7 games, assuming your team doesn't lose (which it shouldn't). As far as I can tell there is absolutely nothing you can do to earn a starting position. If you do well you will probably play the entire second half from the third game onward, depending on how the team is doing.

Much like earning a place on the International Team, you need to score a lot of goals and assists (these are less important) to earn a great rating. Anything 7.5 or higher should do, and you shouldn't have any trouble getting this if you play 10 minute halves. To give you some idea of what to shoot for, I scored 47 goals and had 3 assists over 7 games. You can do far less than this, as the next highest scorer on the English team I played for was Rooney with 5, and I was tied with Defoe for assists.

I don't know how this impacted my rating, but I scored several games in several games that tied and then put my team ahead. For some reason your teammates tend to play like crap without you. Just know that the rating is the important part here, and you should earn this achievement by averaging anything over 7.5.

The achievement will pop after you move on to the final part of the season in the calendar.
