How to unlock the Web Of Knowledge achievement in Prototype - Definitive Guide

The game will explain the Web of Intrigue to you near the end of the "Look for Clues About Your Past" mission, but if you need a refresher course, you will see the image shown in the trophy tile pop up on your map. When that happens, you will need to go to that location and consume the person with that icon over their head to add to the Web of Intrigue. There will be many targets tied to the story and consume events, and you can also find targets inside military bases, so check them often as well.
I recommend not going out and specifically looking for targets until you have completed everything else there is to do in Free Roam mode, as you will find that many targets will crop up without you needing to look. When they do, you should drop whatever you are doing and go consume them. It's easier to restart a scripted event such as a mission or event than it is to find the target again. Also, do not worry if a target dies as they will respawn again later, so you cannot miss this trophy.

The achievement is painstaking and requires patience. Unfortunately, the video here will not help in any way in the search, since on the map there are people with a red icon above their heads, that is, the element of the web appears in different places, and not in specific ones. The web itself is fragments of the memories of people who saw something or know something about what they did to you. If you accidentally killed such a character, it’s okay, you’ll still meet the same one later. When I beat the game afterward, I just flew in a helicopter until a target randomly appeared on the map, sometimes you fly for an hour and a half and only 1 person appears, and it’s been like that for a long time.

The location of all key people is fixed in certain areas, each target whose node is already open will live in its own area, it must be remembered that most of the 130 targets can be encountered in the same area.

Notes:

  • A target may appear on your radar and disappear instantly, this is a common bug.
  • The target can be killed by the military or mutants, not on purpose, of course.
  • The target may appear several meters from the boundaries of its area, a rather rare occurrence.
There are only 9 connections with the “Web of Intrigue” sequence, the 9th sequence is strictly plot-based.

Please note that nodes are divided into 3 types:

  • Open.
  • Blocked.
  • Unavailable.
You will not be able to find and absorb people from inaccessible nodes until you absorb the person who connects his own node to the inaccessible one.

Below are maps of the areas where you can find all the key characters.

The principle of working with them is simple:

  • Open your “Web of Intrigue” by clicking on the “Back” button.
  • Examine blocked nodes, select your target, remember its name.
  • Find the person you are looking for on the map and match his serial number with the marked area.
  • Move into this area and get ready to wait for your target.
  • Targets can appear in the area either instantly or after 5-10 minutes.
  • Continue your movement around the area of ​​the desired section of the map.
  • Keep an eye on your radar, targets appear without warning.
  • If the target is in a potentially dangerous area, then waste no time, absorb it!
  • A killed target is revived after some time.
  • Targets cannot spawn during an alarm or when swarms of mutants are present.

It has also been noticed that the target appears and disappears quickly almost always when trying to facilitate the search using a helicopter. So it is precisely the use of a helicopter that ruins the entire prospect of normal target capture. DO NOT USE A HELICOPTER!
