This is a story related achievement and you will get it by following the main storyline.
In order to find Mechataur you will have to follow the MAIN storyline. There are several side quests in the game that help with experience and items, but you will know the difference because of color.
To find Mechataur follow the RED exclamation marks until you find him, you will know you are getting close when you face Grullkar, and then you encounter a dragon. After encountering the dragon he will take you to Mechataur.
Defeating Mechataur is pretty easy so don't stress about it, I did it on my first try at lvl 22.
Some tips to beat him:
- Mainly just try and make sure to clear all the skulls before he can, if he damages you he gets an extra turn, he did 37 damage to me because he kept getting extra turns and the game simply kept giving him skull set ups.
- If there are 2 skull combos you see, try and use one to mess up the other if at all possible
- ALWAYS look to see what effect your moves will have, this is a basic tip and should be used in every battle, not just this one. You wouldn't want to set up a skull combo he could use.
- Remember to use your spells effectively, I am a knight and one of my most effective spells is stun, it allows me to deal 5 damage and take two turns allowing me to set up a skull combo in two moves rather than one.
- ALWAYS look for 4/5 of a kind combos, 4 of a kind gives you an extra turn, and 5 gives you a wild card in addition to an extra turn.
- Manage your hero inventory, use equipment/spells that you will get the most benefit out of, I have an extra 24 health because of 3 items I use.
Most of these tips should be applied throughout the whole of the game, but some are even more important when fighting mechataur.
