How to unlock the FTL Travel achievement in Puzzle Quest Galactrix - Definitive Guide

ED24 is required to hack LeapGates.
Hacking is the same as a battle, but the objectives are slightly altered. The number of gems that need to be matched/destroyed are displayed on the upper right of the hacking menu.
You must match that number of gems before the timer (bottom left) expires. Instead of mines, you will have time gems. Connect time gems to give yourself an extension on the timer.
If you are not sure about matching gems, match time gems to give yourself time to think.
The first leap gate is found in the beginning of the story, within a few minutes of playing.
