For PC players:
1. Start a new single-player game and select quake.
2. Hit the ~ key and type "map e4m7 and finish the level. (please note level select seems to nullify some achievements but using the command code work with no problems)
3. enter "god" and "noclip" to make things even faster and find the portal for the exit

Anyone on xbox couldnt do this, so not a solution.
Your basically telling someone to use cheat codes or commands when they want the puzzle solutions etc.(I think )

You should add that you need to select single player>new game>quake, then ~ key and "map e4m7", "god", and "noclip" and then find the portal.

Thanks. I think this was the first guide I wrote for this game and it was pretty basic and crappy. They got more detailed as I went.

Yes, it is. Level 8 is the secret level that you don't need to beat. Just beat e4m7 and it will count as finishing the whole episode.

Dudes, I figured out why this is glitching. Super simple solution. Make sure to actually start a New Game on "Quake" BEFORE you type in the command for the level. Other wise the game thinks you are using the level select

I dont care what anyone says, this site if for XBOX ACHIEVMENTS, it does not help me at all to need a solution only for it to start off with "for PC players" this does not belong here

as stated this game does not have an individual windows 10 stack and shares its stack with the Xbox version. its clear that it belongs here, just because it doesn't help you specifically does not mean it is not helpful to hundreds of other people who use this site.
one of the paragraphs laid out in the "achievement solution guidelines" for posting solutions for achievements states this information, I have highlighted the portion that directly relates as to why this is a valid solution laid out by the site rules and procedures.
"Be relevant. Solutions must be a means to getting the achievement they are posted for. Avoid repeating information that is available from the achievement itself. Give all the information needed to unlock the achievement in question.
If you're writing a solution for non-Xbox game (a tablet or Windows Phone), please state which device you've based it upon as not all solutions work for all devices."you can read the rest of the guidelines here :
