Kill one enemy of every kind in R-Type and R-Type II

How to unlock the Bydo Headhunter achievement in R-Type Dimensions - Definitive Guide

You have to kill every kind of enemy in both games. There are 64 of them (counting bosses). I´m not going to tell you every enemy of the game, but those that are harder to kill, so it´s easy to leave them (most people get 62-63 easily just by playing both games).

First thing you should know, it´s that last boss of R-Type counts as killed even if he dies for time. It´s a hard boss, so keep in mind killing him isn´t needed.

There is a junk thing on Stage 7 of first R-Type that flies from the left to the right. If you shoot it, it won´t flash, make any breaking sound... Anything. But you can kill it and it counts toward the achievement. Probably you will need some powerups, keep that in mind.

In Stage 6, don´t forget to kill at least one of those giant flying squares with an orb. Some people forget them and they count as well.

You have to kill the three parts of Stage 4 boss too. I first thought I had last boss left, and I kept playing until I could beat him (I got like 10.000 kills in the process, just by repeating Stage 8), but it was this one. Try to get at least a level 2 Force, because shooting from his back it´s pretty useful.

I think there are some things that counts in R-Type II final boss, so try blowing all up in that one.

If you have killed all of this, check if there´s any boss you have killed, and if there isn´t, try killing every thing that moves in any level. There aren´t many that move and can´t be killed.

Make sure you kill the final boss of R-Type II by destroying both orbs. I assumed that because the final boss of R-Type I counted if he timed out, so did the boss of the second one, unfortunately I was mistaken.

You have to kill the last boss. If you wait until time's out, it won't count.

I just beat both games and I think it says I am still missing six. Just a little fyi for everyone. I died a million times so usually had no fire power. I am sure alot of big ships got away from me. Especially on r-type II seeing how I can beat level 1-5 on r-type I without dying once. I suck at r-type II though. I will have to run through the games again and try for this cheev.

There are many things that doesn´t look killable or enemies (like Stage 7 junk), so keep replaying levels killing everything that looks suspicious.

Up to 57 of 64 after playing through both games - I know I missed the Stage 7 junk and a few bosses, that ought to be about 4 of the remaining 7...

You can check your progress under "Statistics" from the main menu.

Once again, use Infinite mode and blast everything you can.

A few that can be easily missed are-
R-Type Stage 6- The large enemies that litter the entire level need to be killed from the other side. You can also do this during the boss battle here since theyre the same enemy type.
R-Type Stage 7- There is a large, rectangular, red pile of what looks to be scrap metal in the center of the screen that needs to be destroyed.

If you are having trouble finding them all, keep in mind that bosses count as part of this trophy too. You must kill every boss for it to count- if you let the boss "time out" you wont get credit for it with the exception of R-Type Stage 6- you do NOT have to kill everything during that boss battle at all.

I had 63/64 enemies killed plus I was missing a boss kill which ended up being stage 4 boss of r-type II. After that it brought my count to 64/64.

You should unlock this after completing your infinite playthroughs, if not then start up another playthrough ans get blasting again. Progress can be checked from the main menu then go to the stats screen. The number of types of enemy killed is on the second screen so you will need to press the button to view it.
