Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny

First things first, you need to actually engage in combat. This requires you to either get lucky on a random encounter in the city or to fast travel to a different location. You travel from your map in the action wheel.

From there, fast travel to a city that's close to you. By this, I mean that you can't just travel to any location, it needs to be connected by road to where you are now. Then just go through the dialogue prompts and hope that one will lead to combat. Wolves, bandits, that sort of thing.

Once inside combat, you need to hit . A prompt will most likely ask whether or not it's okay to use magic or other skills. Hit yes or no, it's entirely up to you. And then the battle will play out on its own.

You don't need to finish the battle or win it. After you choose to get it calculated yourself, the achievement will pop.
