Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny

In order for a character to be able to play music, they must have an instrument in their inventory, as well as decent numbers in skills such as music-playing, charisma, and others. You can see the full list inside the tavern. If you can't find a character with an instrument, head to the temple and try to recruit an elf in your party, as I believe most of them will carry something.

Then head inside a tavern in any town (you can check the map with ), and move select the option to use a talent. One option is to play an instrument in the tavern, which counts for this achievement. All you need to do is continuously select this option and then select the character with the highest skill level, and a dialogue box will appear. You can repeat this as many times as you'd like, there's no limit. However, you may not always get coin each time. The higher the skills, the higher your success rate, as well as the amount of money you receive from each try.

As a note, Farthings are the lowest coin value. Then Silver. And then Ducats. So it takes 100 Farthings to make a Ducat. This should help keep track, though the achievement tracker should work as well.

It's not really easy to say just how many tries it will take considering that every party and character is different. But either way, once you reach 50 ducats from playing instruments, the achievement will pop.
