How to unlock the Drunkard achievement in Realms of Arkania: Star Trail - Definitive Guide

You can get this achievement at the starting town, or really any place with a tavern. The goal is to get your characters completely wasted. Save first, unless you want the negative effects.
Once inside the tavern, choose the conversation option in the upper left. When the bartender asks if you want a drink, accept. Then wait around the bar until he comes back to offer you more. During this time, if any strangers ask to buy you a round, you should accept. Both of these options will help to get your party drunk.
After you've received at least three rounds of drinks or more, you can either leave the bar or choose the option "look around the tavern". Both options will allow the game to comment on your party's current status. You will know when your characters are wasted by the dialogue that appears, and when they have a small purple status on their icons below. This is what registers as the failed carouse check.
Note: You only need at least one person in the party to get wasted for the achievement to progress. So if you can’t get the others drunk, just repeat the process on the same hero.
Failing the check 10 times will pop the achievement. You can do this by reloading the original save and repeating the process. Or you can let the effects wear off and get drunk another time. Either way, once you've done it all 10 times, the achievement will unlock.
