How to unlock the Viking's Strength achievement in Realpolitiks New Power - Definitive Guide

To get this you need to:
- play as Sweden
- create a bloc with Norway, Denmark and Finland for a few years
- have a peace
When starting as Sweden you are at a disadvantage. You won't be attacked and you can focus on developing your country, but you need a relatively strong army for the region. You should need about 50 units as Finland requires you to have strong army. To get there as Sweden, try focusing on getting military tech focusing on recruitment and unit capacity. Also try to get as much passive good relationship bonuses as possible. It will help to keep your bloc together. As I play in Polish those will be rough translations:
- International politics tab:
-- Diplomatic missions V
-- Embassy + International Action
- Ad-hoc tab:
-- Diplomatic offensive
To grow your army, focus on increasing government military aspirations and army growth:
- Military tab:
-- Paramilitary groups
-- Universal conscription
-- Mobilization procedures
-- Reserve supply center
-- Military country
- Bloc integration
-- Army structure
If you get any events that will allow you to buy weapons (for me Germany offered me 5 jets for too much money) or move towards militarism, go for it even if it bankrupts you.
At this point you should have enough army and influence to convince all 3 countries to join you. If this happens, make a game save. No is the most random part. The game stipulates a wait time of 'a few years'. In the meantime you may get an event creating Scandinavian Alliance that will give you +10 relationship with your block. It will make things easier, but it's not what we are waiting for. For some it's 2. For some it's 50. I had to wait 5 years myself, but you will eventually get the right event.
Now the most important part. When you get a prompt making it possible to unify Scandinavia, click to accept and IMMEDIATELY PAUSE THE GAME, REMEMBER THE DATE AND REVERT EARLIER AUTOSAVE. The issue with this achievement is that it may not pop. When you reload the save, just wait to about 2 weeks before the unification event and MAKE A MANUAL SAVE. The event should trigger at the same time as before. If you accept the unification again and achievement won't pop, quit the game, launch it and load manual save. This time the achievement should pop after unification.
